NE was great with Bobby Brown. Obtaining Johnny Gil for their group was a master stroke of genius. He's a hybrid version of Teddy Pendergrass and Luther Vandross.
I agree. I love how Ralph never seemed pressed to sing like Johnny. They compliment each beautifully.

Bobby wasn't with NE during this time as he was dealing with the press, jail and his marriage. He was only one that didn't sign to Bad Boy when NE dropped _One Love_ on the label (stating it wasn't a good look.) and it would take all six of them to perform again 7 years later after the untimely death of Michael Jackson at the BET Awards. This is black history right here!!!!

Interesting fact... RALPH... prior to this time, actually recorded "Every Little Step" and "Dont be Cruel" for Bobbie's album and did not want any credit. They adjusted the tones but you can actually hear Ralph. Bobby was drunk a lot and wouldn't go to the studio. That's how passionate of a friend and love of music Ralph was. This is why Ralph is a legend within himself.
