M249 weight is 8kg just as the PKP and also holds many more rounds. Not to mention, the loading mechanism is the same as the PKM. The 249 is chambered in the same caliber as the rest of the squad, so no worries about ammo shortages. it also has disintegrating links, unlike the PKM. For their roles as a Squad Automatic Weapon, I'd rather have the M249. It's abilities are far superior than the PKM.
Not with a non-disintegrating belt. Having a 3 foot linkage of metal running off your gun is so unbearable. The fact that Russia hasn’t adopted disintegrating belt links shows they rely on Soviet innovations

This is an airsoft store/brand... Not to mention almost every army uses molle pouches. You could have spent all of ten seconds looking that up instead of looking retarded, but I'm guessing you're probably too slow to figure that out
