I have listened to sooo many women singers in past few yeas- Gina Miles my favourite season 23 The Voice syole everybodys ears - now Diana omy lord - I found out she has 'polyphonic voice which only mayb 100,000 singerds in the world have - but this is haunting - Diana went thru incredable abuse by her mother- now Diana is just mezmerizing the world- truky haunting & perosna on stage with every song - remarkable- We are all spellbound- ty Diana fr Canada
Little did you know...her songs get better and better the more you watch them. :) She's expressed an interest in Folk Rock in interviews on Russian TV interviews. She has a perfect powerful belting voice for that.

(By the way, you are inserting an extra syllable in her last name - it is basically ahn-koo-DEEN-ova, not ahn-koo-DIAN-ova). The show she is on here is called You Are Super. It is a show to highlight the talents of children from unfortunate backgrounds (orphaned, abused, etc.). Unlike The Voice, they don't turn their chairs around. Each contestant needs 3 of the 4 judges to ring/buzz in to pass them on to the next round. Diana won 2 seasons in a row, the second being a "super season" for past winners with 4/4 judges every time. Igor Krutoy, the bald gentleman that you were saying should have buzzed in earlier was just waiting for a point where he wouldn't interrupt her. Igor is a famous Russian composer who came out of semi-retirement to start collaborating with Dimash. (You will see him in various Dimash videos playing piano) He was so impressed with Diana that he bought an apartment for her and her mother in Moscow so that Diana could attend university to study music there.
@@JustJenRx Yeah, I suspect the subtleties of Russian pronunciation are throwing me off. I think it may actually be more like "dyenova" with the "y" being very soft. But I know almost no Russian, so I'm just going from what I've heard as well in her videos and what native Russian speakers have tried to explain elsewhere. I could easily be not hearing it properly and/or mispronouncing it myself. At least we agree on how great she is! :-)

I actually watched a video of her pronouncing her name and that’s how I got the Pronunciation! But yeah she’s a true phenom!
