This was recorded some time ago. At the time the LE price was listed on the website at $30,700. As CES opened this week they released a new website (same address) including new pricing... $40k for the LE. (The price has never been guaranteed and had not changed since first announce in 2021 (or earlier)).
Amazing. I looked into Aptera. Looks like ultra high efficiency and solar assist are the future direction of EV design. I now have one reserved. Can't wait.
Yeah no, LE pricing is at around 40k. Which makes sense for the first vehicle to be honest, once they get orders coming through and the factory and supply chain up and running, the economies of scale will start kicking in and they'll be able to start paying off their investments. Then they can refine the design, make it cheaper and more economical and come in with the lower pricing. Plus, launch edition Apterae will likely skyrocket in value once the brand starts to get more recognition, because you know that car collectors like Jay Leno are gonna do whatever they can to get their hands on the first-ever mass-produced solar electric vehicle, and the aftermarket price will reflect that.
Looking forward to my Aptera in my driveway here in Ontario Canada. Hope they sell a winter version of the front wheel skirts, current ones will act like snow plows. Note from my solar panel output this winter expect some ware between 0 to 5miles of solar for 4 months a year. OK with that. Also hope the redesigns stop soon, so that Aptera can head for production. Hopefully might see mine by 27/28
Laws to prevent preorder scams/ people losing their money if they go out of business. The actual preorder money people paid actually went into an intermediary bank account so people get their money back if they go belly up
The video was just posted, but I'm guessing it's a clip from an older video and that the whole thing is a bit dated. The $40k price is the newer price. Personally I hate it when people post old information. They want the views but don't want to do the work.
It’s already been tested with NASA’s fluid dynamics and wind tunnel tested in Italy. The shape is the most aerodynamic it can be. Changing parameters would increase drag.

You are right 30.7 must be the new base price .. lunch edition is 38k I think
Or if somebody's arse

its a motorcycle, not a car.

Please hurry up and bring these to Australia. I know we have different regulations but it can be done.
No, it cannot be done. Unless you are able to change your legislation.
I stood by tesla in 2016 for the model 3, I STAND BY APTERA NOW, FOR THIS GAME CHANGING TRANSPORT!!
Hurry up😊 i m in downtown phx in the cube
Why cant future buyers pay upfront and finance the production ?? I would

I want one!
So, a little over $30k or the $40k listed on Aptera's website??
This is from an interview much earlier. The $40k is correct.

Info is a bit dated. They revealed the $40k sticker price at CES, for the LE
Don't get too excited if you didn't reserve one probably going to have to wait two years until your can drive one.
40k*
It’s closer to 40k now.
Its going to be 45 to 50k launch edition
30k is way too low hahaha
How come 40x365=14,400 miles/yr but then he said 11,000 miles/yr?
Estimated Solar gained free miles per year in places like southern California.
@justinw1765 He said both referring to southern California
They’re going to test ranges after CES with a production equipped vehicle and solar cells. Currently the range is estimated based on the math.
Neither a tested and production ready prototype exist, no prduction exists, no 400 Mile version exists. Just empty promises, as usual.
Make it 6' wide and lower the cargo area load in height.
That would make it a different vehicle.

The Aptera 2 was smaller. But they had to limit top speed to 80mph because of stability problems.
@@vic321344 What were "aptera 2" dimensions ? I'm curious.
