A few years back, I quit drinking coffee cold turkey... it was a HUGE mistake, because the withdrawal symptoms were brutal. Honestly, I should have weaned off caffeine slowly. For years, I thought quitting was the right decision, but I'll admit... I kind of caved.
I drink caffeine again now, but I do it a bit differently. In my opinion, the way I do it now feels a lot cleaner, healthier, and more sustainable. Watch the full video to learn more! :) ..

I quit cold turkey briefly 2 years ago and the anxiety drove me to alcohol within days. Tomorrow I will be attempting to go cold turkey again now that I’m only drinking once or twice a month. I have no interest in reducing caffeine, all or nothing.
Yea and you people have the AUDACITY to call me an addict cuz my drug of choice is a narcotic that slows me down. I'm the opposite of you people. I don't need an energy boost. I wake up daily and have plenty of natural focus and energy. So I enjoy narcotics like "pain killers" to slow me down. But I'm called an "addict"? The only difference between us is that your addiction is legal and easy and cheap to get in large amounts, that's it. And I truly think your withdrawals are far worse
Yes. I am going cold turkey. I am on medications for anxiety so i should not be consuming this anyway. Caffeine also interacts with the effectiveness of medications! First alcohol, now caffeine must go. Great video! 🤣
I would recommend quitting slowly rather than cold turkey (which means to quit immediately) if you've been drinking caffeine for a long time. I have another video about how to wean off slowly and safely if it helps :)
Quit anxiety meds too.
This was just one big commercial. I hate RUclips.😞
Ah man, sorry you didn't like the video. For what it's worth, the entire story is 100% true... only a very small part toward the end mentions a product (which I genuinely use regularly). But I get why you'd feel that way, so here are some quick tips about caffeine that don't require any product:
1. If you're drinking multiple cups of coffee a day, you're drinking too much.
2. If you want to quit caffeine, wean off slowly (otherwise expect a rough withdrawal)
3. If you want to continue caffeine but are looking for something better than coffee, green tea feels way cleaner and brings sustained "energy" without as many side effects due to naturally occurring L-theanine. Matcha brings the best results of anything I've tried so far - regardless of where you get it from.
Also for what it's worth... the product I mentioned is the first sponsorship I agreed to in several years of making RUclips videos, only because it is something I genuinely like. There are ethical ways to monetize content. If I ever recommend a product that sucks, by all means, call me out on it and keep me humble. 😁
Schill
still addicted...
Have you tried weaning off slowly?
No big deal
Ok so just take coffee and a L-theanine pill ! This combo will have more anti oxidants than jus matcha 😂😂😂
My reliable source (aka ChatGPT😂) tells me that matcha actually has more antioxidants than coffee! But honestly, L-theanine with coffee would probably feel a lot better than coffee by itself - so you may be onto something there.
Still, my other beef with coffee remains:
-Too acidic
-Too high in caffeine
-Stains teeth
-Makes me have to leave the cafe to poop
Watching this while drinking my first morning coffee. Love coffee
Lmao 😆
😂
Quitting caffeine because my anxiety and caffeine levels are starting to affect my heart. I’m having PACs and PVCs and I need to stop. Haven’t had caffeine in almost 2 days. Just more tired than usual.
I also hate the dependency I have on it. I don’t want to have to drink something to feel “normal” or function throughout the day.
Sorry I'm getting to this a bit late, but hopefully the worst of that tiredness is done by now. It sounds like you're doing the right thing for your health, so I'm really happy to hear that and hope it's been going well for you!
Just what we needed a big long comercial
I told a 100% true story and then plugged an awesome product ALL the way at the end. I've got bills to pay too, Javier. 🤷
@@ZoeChan-s4j Thank you so much! Tapering is definitely the way to go, cold turkey sucks. Wishing you luck through the process! 😁
Agreed lol. Nice little story spun around how bad it is to go cold turkey unless you have this amazing little product…very ingenuine trying to trick people who want to kick this habit
@@maximilian_degen I'm sorry if it comes off that way, definitely not my intention to trick anyone. This was a true story I genuinely wanted to tell (those palpitations sucked), regardless of the promo at the end. If you're trying to quit caffeine and have any specific questions I didn't address, let me know and I'll try to help (without trying to sell you anything 😉).
