Depression and anxiety affect many people with Parkinson's disease. Quality of life can decline and Parkinson's symptoms can worsen if the conditions are left untreated. A panel of experts addressed this important topic at The Victory Summit presented by the Davis Phinney Foundation. Presenters define what depression and anxiety are, discuss the wide variety of symptoms that can indicate the presence of one or both conditions and offer a range of coping strategies. The panelists include Sarah Lageman, Ph.D., ABPP/CN, Virginia Commonwealth University; Carol Manning, Ph.D., ABPP/CN, University of Virginia; Bonnie Sachs, Ph.D., Virginia Commonwealth University.
