ShiroP Railgun S is certainly better than its first season. Index is great as well actually. It's just that the first season, Railgun, was fun but not as good, I think. Accelerator would seriously be an awesome MC!

They just haven't made any more Index/railgun anime announcements really. They have PLENTY of content for a 3rd season of Index 100%, a 3rd season of railgun would be a little less likely atm considering they would have to probably add filler episodes to finish a full 24 episode series (presuming they do that again like they have been). Just be patient, it's a popular series in general (from what I've seen), we just need to wait and see if/when they make an announcement.

+Aidan McCann I acc disagree, i think you should watch Railgun and then Railgun S, then move onto index. Railgun S tells the sisters arc a LOT better than index does, so i think its better to watch it in Railgun S first (its better to not have index ruin the ending for you when you watch railgun s). The sisters arc is a lot more emotional when you have an attachment to misaka, which you dont get when you watch index first. Just my opinion
+NotBothered10 railgun came out after index did and index was alwayd intended to be the first in the series, the way I stated is how it was intended to be watched, railgun tells it better but this way you will have more aha moments as the story gradually makes more and more sense, just my opinion though, I put index 2 last because I liked the action most, also this way the action gets better with each series you watch
Railgun is great but if/when they decide to make more seasons of Index...Well, Railgun will lose the first place since the index light novel get more awesome after the point the anime ended, just saying.

Its true that railgun isnt as efficient as she could be with her powers and her standard railgun is only a fraction of what she can do with larger pieces of metal, but accelerator is ranked 1st for a reason, he deflected her railgun effortlessly, maybe if she went full out with it she could make him sweat but there is no way in hell she can beat him.

index came out before but a certain magical index and a certain scientific cover nearly the same timeline but from different characters (index with touma and railgun with misaka) i would suggest watching index first (all seasons) and then railgun since railgun is a spinoff but deals with some arcs better than index (little Sister arc)

ShiroP Indeed it is the retelling of the sisters arc, but it is much more in-depth. Also there's more. Overall I found S to be the better series.
