@@Haleyncasey bro what? Do you just not go to stores to shop for anything? Or is it just DVDs that you feel aren’t worth the trip to go somewhere for them?

    • @Haleyncasey
      @Haleyncasey 8 месяцев назад

@@packedentertainment2866 there are a lot of things that make more sense to buy at a store rather than online - some obvious ones like food and clothes. dvds, Im not sure why you would go shopping for when buying and searching for specific movies and shows is so much easier online.
You could literally spend like a couple of hours just searching for lets say five movies/shows youre trying to buy on dvd at different stores (and likely not finding anything!) vs. taking like 10-20 mins online just comparing different prices/shipping. So I do find it interesting that people actually shop for dvds- especially people that collect movies/shows thats more than just the current mainstream/most popular stuff.

My husband and I have a pretty good size dvd collection probably 100-200 if I had to guess. However my uncle passed away 1yr ago and I choose to inherit his dvd collect, which is about 2,000 😮. They’re currently in boxes, but I’m so excited to have them out one day. He was single, never married, and no children so that’s what he spent money on. I have a dream of potently opening a video rental store one day and being able to share them with others who also miss renting actual movies. ❤

I once found so many awesome movies/tv shows at a library bookstore and it seemed like they all came from one owner who had very specific taste in horror/thriller/BBC detective things. The older ladies that run the place said it was an older man who passed and his family were cleaning out his home.

    1) this is making me wanna get back into physical media because i used to collect a lot or DVDs and CDs but my family downsized our home so I had to give away a lot of my collection due to space 🥲 but this is making me wanna get back into that hobby lol!
    2) i am LIVING for that House Of Wax shirt

I was expecting Half Price Books on this adventure. One of my favorite spots. So much great physical media. Found an autographed The Walking Dead book

I usually thrift shop at Half-Price Books. I was there 2 weeks ago and got The Haunting dvd and Halloween 4K UHD blu ray. Sometimes I shop online for any blu rays on sale. The Wicker Man is one of several on my list after Immaculate arrived in the mail last week.

I LOVE your interlude music!! It’s a cross between bauhaus and an early cure vibe!! I want it just to listen to as background music seriously!!

Used to love going with a friend to Disc Replay and Half Price Books to look for movies and games.

A lot of Op Shops around where I live do 50c DvDs so even if I don’t find anything on my wish list I will always buy a bunch random ones that I normally wouldn’t take the chance on. Anything I like stays on the shelf and then the ones I’m not keen on either go to friends or get re donated. Way cheaper than renting through a streaming service and normally way more variety.

You're combining two things I love: thrifting videos and movies. If you get the time to do this again, please take us along.

Yesss! Please make this a regular thing on the channel. I loove physical media, but the country I live in has literally no stores that specialize in used DVDs, blurays etc. There are thrift stores where they do sell movies, but the selection is not comparable at all. Watching this video made me so jealous haha 😅

I've been collecting blu-rays and dvd's for about 2 years now. all my disc's have been going into storage after being ripped because I never had shelving to hold them all. just got shelves yesterday and managed to get them all out of the boxes and ready to pick. looks awesome just a wall of blu-rays.

Love shopping for physical media - thrift stores, little library bookstores, pawn shops etc. You never know what you will find! I use to have a spreadsheet of all my movies and I lost that file T_T Really need to sit down and write that list again because I've come across movies in the wild where I really thought I already owned it - get home check and see nope don't own it at all and then its gone when I go back! I want to fix that this year and put that list on google sheets on my phone so I can look at it to confirm!!
Please take us on another shopping trip in the future!! :)

Target used to be so great, but after their remodel, it’s so small and awful! Makes me so sad. So I’m very happy you made this video. Physical media for life!

Found the same Sixth Sense a few days ago at goodwill for $1 so I grabbed it. Very nice package and stuff.
