I bought rifle stocks that were Remington 700 in 300 magnum sniper rifles. They were $3.00 to $5.00 each. Every one had cracks and splits where a right handed person wrenched the rifle out of the stock. The rifles and scopes went into the shredder, stocks into pile. It was heart breaking, an absolute waste.
