The song was written by Kenta Matsukuma, and it was a tie-in to a comedy drama called "Young Ladies Don't Play Fighting Games" about girls at an elite private school who secretly become professional video gamers (Haven't seen it myself). Matsukuma is a ridiculously prolific musician/producer who wrote extensively for the "anti-idol" bands BiSH and BiS. As usual, Atarashii Gakko! take the song to a level that transcends its theme song roots. It's anthemic, rebellious, and totally silly and delightful, all at once.
Atarashii Gakko actually only has an anime credit for a Crunchyroll promo. Everything else that they have appeared/credited in is for TV shows and movies.

React to Ado, you won’t be disappointed, she is extremely talented, easily one of the best vocalists in the world.
