It was painful at first but I knew it had to be done. lol. At least it wasn’t an original LP. Just a kit.

I like the Bear metallic gold best, agree the last one is too yellow.

I’m with you. The Behr and krylon were prolly the closest. Thanks for the sub !

Great comparison. Now when see these all together, that Stewmac color looks best to me. Inspired by your project, yesterday i ordered a guitar kit for myself too😄

Love it !! Thanks so much for watching. That stew Mac color is hard to beat. It looks so good. Just make sure not to make the same mistakes I did ! Glad I could inspire someone. Have a good day !

I used the rustoleum champagne bronze when i did a kit a couple years ago. Came out great. Looks very close to the real thing.

I was close to using it. Kinda wish I would have now since the cracking and checking happened in my current finish that was from stew Mac. It was the weirdest thing. Thanks for watching !

I used 2 cans of the BEHR - When the cans had about 20 % left in them - The spray nozzle started to spit - I did a Joe Biden - C' mon man !

To me - Rustoleum has always come out too fast

I’ll take it over lacquer on a guitar any day. But I’m with you. It does shoot outta there pretty fast. I have been heating it up a bit and it seems to spray much better.

@leeslife1981 Krylon getting harder to find - I like the consistent fine spray it had - Ace Premium has been okay - I used some Behr and it was fine - No drip on big vertical surfaces - Sprayed well till last 15 % in the can

Rustoleum is good paint - But you have to be quick on how you spray it and have good control because it kind of comes out like a blow torch . . .

@@bryonhogg485 I have never been a big krylon guy. Always used rustoleum. I find that light coats are really good with the rustoleum. I like the way the behr sprays too but I think it was a lacquer based.
