    Hello lovelies! Thankyou for being here. As requested by many of you, I have posted a slower, more easy to see smudge stick making tutorial. I have added some new techniques so it's worth watching both vids.

      All herbs work and have their different properties- you can Google what each one helps with. Lavender can be good for peace and calm, sage is good for cleansing bad energy etc 💞

    Can you bake the flowers so that they can dry faster?

    • @HebaLondon
      @HebaLondon  3 года назад +1

      I’ve never tried that, it may also burn if you do that so I feel it’s best to slow dry it. Maybe you could try on a really low heat if you really don’t want to wait

    Do you know if you can use Mexican Bush Sage (Salvia leucantha) ? I have a few growing in my garden.

    • @HebaLondon
      @HebaLondon  3 года назад +1

      I have never tried that but maybe dry a little piece - hang a little upside down for a week. Once dry, carefully light it and see how well it burns.

    They look lovely! I would love to try making them. I have a question, when they are not fully dry and I make them, how long it will take to dry them?

    • @HebaLondon
      @HebaLondon  3 года назад +1

      I's say if they are semi- dry, then you leave them to dry in a non damp area, it should only take a week to fully dry, maybe 1.5 weeks. xx

    If you put the flowers on when they are not completely dry, do you allow the entire smudge stick to completely dry before using it? Do you dry the pine?

    • @HebaLondon
      @HebaLondon  3 года назад

      Yes leave the entire smudge stick to completely dry or it wont burn properly. Try not to make the wand with flowers that are too fresh as it will shrink and then fall out of the string x

  • @majozajo

    I'll have to try doing these! Because where I live all the stores with cleansing sticks only have white sage ones, and I do not wanna use those since Im not part of indigenous culture. (friendly reminder if ure not indigenous please consider different type of sage for cultural appropriation and overharvesting of white sage)
    And making your own is much cheaper and you can put your own energy into them! and you can choose which herbs you put into them.I love how you added crystals there!!
    Also do you always use fresh herbs and then let them dry?
    And when you're done with it, do you just spray it with water to put it out?

    • @HebaLondon
      @HebaLondon  Год назад

      I thought I replied to this. In the Middle East and Turkey they have white sage - it’s fine if you use that. That’s the one I used, it’s not sacred like in some Native American cultures

    • @HebaLondon
      @HebaLondon  Год назад +1

      Yes exactly it’s cheaper and you can indeed put your own energy in to them! I like to make sure the herbs are almost dry but not fully dry so that they are flexible to wrap- if they’re dry then they will be quite crispy and hard to tie with string.

    • @HebaLondon
      @HebaLondon  Год назад +1

      It will burn out on its own- no need for water. If it’s burning too much then stub it out a bit in a heat proof dish or ash tray x

    Hi, How long do you let the petals dry? and where do you get the sage from?

    • @HebaLondon
      @HebaLondon  3 года назад +1

      I hang them upside down from their stems in a cool dry cupboard- It takes between 1-2 weeks depending on how fresh the flower is.I like to enjoy the flowers in a vase for about a week before I dry them, so that I get extra used from them. This also means they will probably dry quicker as they aren't fresh from the shop. I get sage from abroad- turkey and Qatar but you can buy pre made white sage wands online and cut the string and use pieces of the wand for your floral smudge sticks. Hope this makes sense xx

    Do you burn the Crystal?

    • @HebaLondon
      @HebaLondon  3 года назад

      No you don't, that is just to add extra crystal energy. If you burn the crystal it will probably lose its healing energy and also may be a safety hazard xxx

    Can you use rose leaves?or can you only use those ingredients?As in just the leaves nothing else

    • @HebaLondon
      @HebaLondon  3 года назад

      I had a few rose leaves in my bundle but I did take off most of the leaves as I don’t feel like they burn with any nice smell, although they won’t smell bad, it may just not be as aromatic if you use too many rose leaves.
