    Awesome video! I've been exploring lately myself and yeah, it's crazy how quickly the obstacles sneak up on you! Glad you made it out safe and with a bunch of fish! Cheers and tight lines brother!

    That smallmouth looked like A spot. Caught tons of them that size and bigger at Naci. Great videos

    This was a cool video. I like seeing you fish when there's no pressure to win. Have a good weekend Caleb.

    I never understood trying to rip the fish lips off and then reeling it in at mach 5 speed . I always enjoyed fighting the fish.

    Cool video. I got stuck on a sandbar out there last week with my jet. I gotta give it to ya though, taking the bass cat out there!

    Looks like you launched at Mosdale, then hit Turtle Beach . A lot of Sandbars and Boulders in that area . Also, vary Shallow, too. Can be vary dangerous after that . Try going North next time . 👌👍🐟

      You’re not kidding. Fished plenty north of there, this trip was about hitting waters I’ve never fished.

    That’s my home water homie so I’d be foolish to give my secrets away. Unfortunately it’s been beat up heavily over the past few years. I will say that the river does indeed hold giants! Stay safe.

    I've hit and been stuck in every sand bar from stockton to where you are and learned to run it fast... when tide is high I got into some good skinny water plates but when tide went down I wasn't going anywhere so do take that inmined

    Wow does this video resonate with me. I moved to Discovery Bay last November and I can’t tell you how many exploration trips I have been on. I have bass fished strictly lakes for the last 45 years and thought I knew the sport. The Delta has been a challenge. Every spot looks fishy. It has revitalized my fishing energy. Thanks for a great video….maybe I will see you out there.

      It’s definitely a puzzle out here, sometimes you’ve got to challenge the brain and push outside the box to keep things fresh.

    So since you dnt like it ,please tell us the exact location please. I’ve got the right boat for waters exactly like that ! Thanks again for the tour ! New spots and water are so exciting! Love the stripper action ! I’m a fan of anything out of the ordinary and out of the way ! The harder certain water is to access the better it usually is . Less people . Less pressure: so much better!!! I’m a fan of striped bass fishing! They are a lot stronger and will fight unfortunately sometimes to the death ! I dnt want any fish to die Dnt get me wrong I just wanted to tell it like it is ! Also the trifecta: spot , large, and striped ! What a great day ! You go !

    Caleb you have to wait until it is a high water year. The biggest bass I have gotten on the Delta was close to where were fishing.

    You’ve never gone through the gills to get the hook out when they swallow it ? I learned to do that a couple years ago it’s pretty easy after you do it a couple times.

    • @BeardedBassin
      @BeardedBassin  4 месяца назад

      Absolutely normally do, I could barely see the eye of the hook on this one.

    Watch out for the sandbars down there. They roam and move from year to year down there.

    • @BeardedBassin

      Your not wrong, North of Mossdale I know like the back of my hand from working on the river, south was a completely different story, hence taking it slow.

  • @danfosmire4343
    @danfosmire4343 4 месяца назад

    I'm not saying run into the sand bars at full speed but you are doing the right thing by going slow to find the sand bars after you know where they are you can jam

    • @BeardedBassin
      @BeardedBassin  4 месяца назад

      I hear yah, on pad is the safest option there is a very fine line running that skinny water.

    • @BeardedBassin

      Not very green more of a darker tannic brown. About a ft of visibility. Which is pretty good for the south.

      Back in the seventies around that area a lot of people water skied you can get anywhere around there with no problem after all the sans started drifting in The sound bars and it was difficult to get through those areas the last time we fished was probably around 2011 1 tournament out of there went back the next weekend and it was a little shocked with highest and then we can get into where we wanted to go but still went back around turtle Beach and did real good should have won that one but we dumped to fours or I should say I dumped you four s I did lose a lower unit out there one time though😂

    ( before even watching the whole video ) Once I seen the Ramp I went OH S**T there goes his Lower Unit !! 35-40 is WAY TOO FAST .especially going further south more like 10-15mph... i went I'd say 5 yrs in between times fishing in that area (and I went towards Stockton) # dan's Mossdale back story ... (15 yrs ago or so) first boat had a flat tire before leaving ..12' 1966' sears boat 15hp McCulloch... anchored on a rocky bend near pump house... after a 10-15min fight ( boats stopping to watch ) I broke off a #25lb live bait leader..never seen what it was ( fought like a big Catfish)...go to pick up my anchor to leave... wth.. pulled with trolling motor.. then pulled with big motor NOPE !! had to cut the rope !! flying back to the ramp Lower Tide _wide open all the sudden BAMM !!-- hit a submerged log motor gets knocked of the transom an into the water .. knocked me to the deck ... ( but I had it chained to the back hand hold ) so yeah save it .... got towed to dos rios left boat there ..then they took me back by boat to mossdale got my tuck .. got home un hooked the boat looked back at the truck seen something dangeling ?? WTH someone stole my spare tire !! never went back until I got my 2nd Alum 14' Valco ....BUT since i got my 2021 Tracker Classic that can float in a foot of water .. I am STILL SUPER leary of even launching there !! ... glad you made it out safe out of the BACK WATER DELTA BYOU LoL ...
