Ahhhhh, Revenge of the Flying Dutchman. For years I had fragmented memories of this game. From racing Squidward and letting him win to the fever dream puzzles. The early PS2 days were cursed af.
Voting for the Monster House game. From what I remember, it felt like an RE4 imitator for kids, and also had a playable fictitious 8-bit arcade game called Thou Art Dead that was kind of like Ghosts and Goblins.
I still own this game for Gamecube. Idk why I loved it so much but I went out of my way to find it in game stores years after renting it from Blockbuster.

Fun fact. My parents gave me a PS2 for Christmas in 2002 and this was the first game I got. I was four years old and being a SpongeBob fan I loved this game. I knew it was bad but I still played it. At 22 I still play it, I know it is subpar but it's just one of those games that just stick with you, nostalgic and sometimes annoying. I have some fond memories playing this game with my older sisters who now live in separate countries. When I want to go back, I sit back and play this game once more to go back to those simpler times without a worry in the world. Wish I could go back and experience it for the first time.

I replayed this a few years ago and the copy I got had a glitch where nearly everytime I left the map to another it would undo any objective I cleared in the map I left. This would happen at random and i was just lucky enough to save and replay portions without it becoming impossible but it sure was irritating AF.
i used to be obsessed with that game as a kid, even though it only had english audio and writing - and i was just a young german child who only understood basic english words. i basically played the thing while barely understanding anything that it told me to do
Same here. I got confused thinking I had to find an actual bird nest for the objective where you have to go to the crow's nest because I was a dumb kid and knew nothing about ships. The game is even harder when English is not your first language 😂
I played this game SO much as a kid...something about it is so weirdly mesmerizing. Just wait until you get to the Goo Lagoon area with the pants-stripping, murderous lifeguards. Oh, and I'd love to see Monster House personally
