Wow, this is beautiful. As you mentioned when stripping, the wood was very delicate. And a previous owner loved this piece so much that they gorilla glued the leg together, put in dividers, and put new handles on it. They loved it, and you saved it so a new owner can love and cherish it some more. What a wonderful story.

Back in the 70's I had no $$, but plenty of time. All types of wood were "in style" - I loved anything older, with interesting finishes. I knew nothing, but had a blast doing projects.
