Here’s the full recipe 👇🏻
Blueberry Swirl Blondies
1 cup (2 stick) unsalted butter, at room temperature
3/4 cup sugar 164 grams
1 large egg
1/4 cup 55 grams fresh squeezed lemon juice
2 1/4 cups 306 grams all purpose flour (use the fluff/scoop/level method for measuring)
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp kosher salt
1 cup white chocolate chips
Blueberry Sauce
INGREDIENTS
2 cups fresh blueberries
1/4 cup water
1/4 cup granulated sugar (white or coconut is fine -- a natural granulated sweetener may be used that measures 1:1 with sugar)
2 tablespoons cornstarch
2 tablespoons lemon juice
Zest of 1 lemon
2 tablespoons cornstarch
INSTRUCTIONS
For Blueberry Sauce:
Preheat oven to 350 F. Combine the blueberries, water, sugar, lemon juice and water in a small-sized saucepan over medium-high heat. Bring to a boil; lower heat and gently simmer.
Combine the cornstarch with the extra water until dissolved and stir it into the blueberries. Continue to simmer while stirring occasionally, until the sauce begins to thicken and coats the back of a metal spoon.
Line a 9 inch square baking pan with parchment paper with long edges. Cream the butter and sugar until fluffy. Beat in the egg.
When the egg is full incorporated, beat in the lemon juice. The lemon juice will probably not completely incorporate at this point, that's ok. Whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt, and add to the wet ingredients, mixing until no more dry flour is present. Mix in white chocolate chips.
Spread the mixture into your pan and spread out as evenly as possible. Make dollops of blueberry sauce all over top of blondie mixture. Use a knife or toothpick to spread sauce out in swirling motion.
Bake for 30 minutes or until just golden around the edges. Let cool for before slicing.

When I lived in NYC a few years ago, I got to know some Mormon missionaries and went to the church at union square a few times. I have to admit that people there were really nice and genuine, but the doctrines were too rigid for me to accept. I am glad to see that you guys are so happy and comfortable with being yourself now ❤️

Coming out for me was fun, I was outed sorta, my BF at the time have me 24hours to come out or he’d tell my cousin and best friend, I was 14. But after that it was the most liberating experience of my life, and I had fun with it. Leaving notes for people, ambushing people, hitting on friends for fun. Great Great Times

Love this :) I’ve experienced so much guilt in the process of distancing myself from the church, not following the teachings, etc. It is so extremely hard, but I’m happy with my decisions. Glad to see you both are doing well.

I enjoyed this immensely, because I am a chef and former LDS convert! I joined as an adult, I think it was because I was trying to pray the gay away! Needless to say, it didn't work! I didn't want to be a hypocrite, so I had my name taken off church records! I still retain a lot of my close friends from my time in the church! So, so much of what you were saying, I understood entirely!
My husband is Mormon! And I always thought that he hated brownies... but he made some earlier this week and found a few tricks to make them AMAZING. Flake salt on top, squirts of whipping cream and a dusting of coconut milk powder. If my stomach could handle it, I would have eaten the whole tray. I think these blondies would be amazing with a touch of coconut milk powder. Fun getting baked with ya! We just subscribed--would love to be YT friends!

Loved this video!! I just started going to church when i was a college freshman. To be honest it was the hardest 5 years of my life. I found that church is not for me. Because my view point on life is do good and be good, and love everyone!!🥰 I hate the stigma that church gives to the LGBTQ community❤ And you shouldnt be ashamed for who you love!! That was enlightening. Bryan has beautiful eyes. I thought it was fun that you guys talked about your first and kept it very very clean (off camera I am not sure). It is refreshing to see to good decent, honorable, cute, intelligent, handsome, thoughtful people talk about there lives in their religion. I was raised catholic and I do not and have not followed that religion. Guilt is a terrible thing that man made institution put on people and leave serious damage that last years. Great video and I hope you do this type of video again with others.

It is fun to see the younger generation coming out. My first date was years after coming out. Never felt Guilty at LDS Church Court, I firmly declared my gayness and never looked back. Keep on living your truth, as I tell everyone "I am a Gay Mormon Boy"
I mean this in the nicest way possible, but watching this was like watching two people on a first date and I felt like I was eavesdropping. They would make a very cute couple though.
Food looked good, but Joe, you're starved for new gay interaction/convo/friends & he's a great influence on you. It's critical & exhilarating to bounce our thoughts & histories off one another to keep the faith, but rid our mind of any religious guilt. A lot of good points were said, making that part of the vid more interesting than that lemon zest dish...mmm. I thrive on good & new friends who share the same down to earth conversation & experiences, it makes us comfortable & safe. In gay south Florida, after a week, you'd be able to walk in any of the gay bars/clubs & feel so at home, with friends who you've recently acquainted with & feel a sense of belonging, a 2nd family, of sorts & it changed my life coming here after college in rural IL, like u did after San Francisco. I grew up Episcopalian, which is a pretty liberal denomination, and I had issues. I can't imagine growing up in a church that is so blatantly anti-gay. Kudos to you two for coming to terms with your sexuality and living your true lives regardless of what that backwards church rants about! And the dessert looked delicious!

Good question, when I was on the move in this video I was just holding the camera. If I’m filming a video with minimal moving I’ll just use my tripod and hold the camera. For any vlog or video that requires a lot of moving I use my gimbal.
