2015 was a great year for games. "Viticulture" is one of our long time favorites. "Game of Trains" is a light, fun filler game with humor hidden in the art. On the other end of the spectrum, "The Gallerist" is a fun, heavy euro with excellent player aids to walk you through the steps of all the actions. Lastly, "Dead Men Tell No Tales" is a highly thematic, cooperative game where the players a pirates who have just defeated a pirate ghost ship full of treasure. Unfortunately, the ship is ablaze and the fire is getting hotter so there is only a little bit of time to liberate the gold before the ship goes down. As the fire gets progressively hotter, the ghost crew is not nearly as scary the barrels of gunpowder stored in some of the rooms. The right chain of misfortune may cause the ship to blow up. Finding the gold on the ship may take some work, but not as much lugging the full treasure chest back to the lifeboat.
Champions of Midgard has a must have expansion, but Raiders of the North Sea is pretty high on the list for having an expansion that takes the game to a new level. As for this list: Blood Rage was my favourite game for years, still solidly top 5, even though I haven't been able to play it for years. I knew Codenames wouldn't make either of your lists, it's just weird to talk about games from 2015 and not mention it. I share JT's thoughts on clue givers. First turn, give me a clue for 7 words, not 2, or it becomes the most frustrating game I've played.
1. Champions of Midgard 2. Viticulture Essential Edition 3. Pandemic Legacy: Season 1 4. Tiny Epic Galaxies 5. Isle of Skye 6. Mysterium 7. Raiders of the North Sea 8. Shakespeare 9. Mission Red Planet 10. Steam Time
This was a great year. Have several 8s that didn’t make the list and I think this is the first year you all have done that I had to leave some high ones off. Top five for me would be. 1. 7 Wonder Duel 2. Blood Rage 3. Champions of Midgard 4. Through the Ages 5. Grand Austria Hotel Bottom five 6. Arboretum 7. Argent the Consortium 8. Cthulhu Wars 9. Forbidden Stars 10. Raiders of the North Sea
Reasons i love sam healey 3. He was my first reviewer i like when I started watching reviews on DT years ago 2. He had the best stoopid reactions tocthings He disagreed with on dt 1. He is the only reviewer i know who actively really speaks about mission red planet being great (i know Zee had it on his top 100 last year but He never says its good apart from that)
This year is insane, mission red planet id my #1 of all time, 7 wonders duel is number 3 and raptor is 12 (I did my list eoth pub meeple recently). 2015 and 2000 are the best years i think
And continuïng the list game... 5) Gold West 4) Blood Rage (CROSSOVER) 3) Raiders of the North Sea (CROSSOVER) 2) 7 Wonders Duel (CROSSOVER) 1) Karuba I think I might have overrated Karuba. 😯 I award myself points: 2pt for an exact crossover, 1pt for a crossover, 0.5pt for a mention somewhere. For 2015 I got: 6.5 points. I invented a new solo game.🤓 Luckily my exact crossover was on JT's side. It would have costed me points if it was on Sam's list. So I can forgive his fumble. 😅
fun list! for myself its, 1. Voyages of Marco Polo. talk about turn angst. Love it!! 2.Isle of skye - extremely underrated game. 3. Bloodrage 4. vitculture essentials edition 5. raiders of the north sea

Yes, Blood rage! Still #1
300 something in the top 1000 from the first 9 years you covered doesnt mean the rest is in the 9 years still to cover, there are also older games
That’s very true. We made a similar statement in previous intros. Thanks for being here!
