As a rabbit breeder I HEAVILY recommend getting properly made wire bottom cages it’s safer for the rabbits and way more sanitary the rabbits aren’t at risk of most small predators like rats and raccoons in wire cages that are elevated hay tends to harbor lots of external parasites so it’s best to not use it as a form of bedding I only use it for a feed supplement once a week as it’s not a dietary necessity and as nesting material for does also rabbits are extremely territorial so definitely don’t leave the doe with the buck as there’s a high chance she will castrate him out of frustration with him being near her I hope all this helps good luck with rabbits they are by far the most sustainable livestock unless you count bees lol
You guys got rabbits & chicks, sooo beautiful. Love seeing all of you together...💙💙💙 Am home for the week with my folks, cats, dogs & chickens before heading back to city, peaceful times right...😁💙
I love hanging out with you guys on your channel - I very much miss growing up on a farm - .. very silly question - and Im late to the game - but while living in Japan - did you by chance meet up with a fellow You Tuber -Greg (Life Where Im From) - Greg is also from Vancouver - You guys are just SO similar and calming. so wonderful to watch both of your families grow in different environments. Thankyou for all that you do
Thanks for being here, Jeff, it means a lot! Unfortunately we didn't get a chance to meet up with Greg, it looks like he's in a more northern part of the country. But I love his take on everyday life in Japan, a style I could never quite nail down in my own content. But I do hope to return some day, maybe I'll reach out. Cheers!
It was left here by our tenants, which was super generous of them! I just split it up a bit more and restacked it into a nice tidy pile. One of my friends here jokingly called it the "artisanal wood pile" and the name has kinda stuck ever since 😂
@@Slowsteading MY nephew is moving next door to us and him and his wife want rabbits so I sent your video to him so he can learn. He's young and they want to learn how to homestead. FATHER GOD bless you and your family IN THE NAME OF YESHUA IN JESUS NAME AMEN AND AMEN.
You’re gonna want a dog and a cat for sure. Dog to keep the bigger stuff away like raccoons, and a cat to catch the rats. We domesticated them for a reason lol
It seriously tastes like chicken 😂 the tenants actually left that pile of wood, which was a generous thing to do, I just restacked it into a nice neat pile 👌😬
Haha thanks glad you think so! I used to dread making the thumbnails but have started to enjoy the process more recently. Plus I end up with like a whole photoshoot worth of photos of me hanging out with the animals in silly poses, which is a nice souvenir 😂
I LOVE hanging out with the rabbits! Have you ever spent time with bunnies?
i love having a rabbit.
I have 5. Look at them in my channel.

We had mice and I taught my cat to be a mouser. Within a month they were gone and haven’t seen them since!
My kids would definitely love a cat and a dog, but I'm not fully sold on it 😂
Puget Sound/ Point Roberts?
Nice eye! Yeah, around that area 👌
I've never eaten rabbit. Someone's been busy there chopping wood!
