I have had several times in Bangkok where the person in the room gives the front desk their key to hold because they don't want to carry them out into the city. Then when I checked in, they give me that person's room. Last time that happened, their was clothes in all of the drawers, underwear hanging in the toilet, and luggage in the corner. If I was a bad person, I could have gone through everything and taken anything that looked important since their luggage didn't have locks. I grabbed my suitcases and immediately went downstairs to change rooms, explaining situation. They had me follow someone back to the same room to prove someone was already in the room before they would give me a new one. I never let front desk hold my room key, I will just pay the fee to replace it if I lose it but it is going with me.
Mehr kann man für 17,50 Euro im Zentrum einer Megacity nicht wirklich erwarten. Negativ ist jedoch die Unfreundlichkeit der Rezeptionistin. Das ist absolut unüblich in Thailand.
Ja da hast du Recht, in den meisten fällen sind die thais echt sehr korrekt. Aber jeder kann man ein schlechten Tag haben, nehme es deshalb nicht persönlich.

Luckily the room was Just getting cleaned i guess, but If the staff will Hand Out my key to a Stranger it would be devastating...
At least it looks like a nice quiet street so one can actually get some rest without yelling and vehicle noise going on all night.
