Yes! My brother bought a 2RS Equinox EV a couple months ago and my other brother bought the 3RS. I own a ‘23 Bolt EUV and so does my son and I just ordered a 2LT Electric Equinox for my wife! Love GM evs
Thanks for the comparison! That really helps! My wife owned a bolt EUV and we pretty satisfied with it. Just ordered a 2RS FWD and got $9000 rebate in BC + *1200 Costco membership 😂lol
The ability to get a car without a glass sunroof is a huge advantage, particularly in a very hot climate. There can be radiated heat, even with the shade closed, and of course there are the headroom and weight penalties. A friend has an otherwise reliable Toyota Sequoia which required an expensive sunroof repair, and she said she didn't really want it in the first place, but thinks it was mandatory on the uplevel trim. Probably not uncommon.
Here in Quebec, Canada, the Equinox Rs with axe and transport is around $75000. That's a lot for an EV. I have the Bolt EUV Premier and wouldn't change it for this.
Non-tesla EVs imo have been so ugly and uninspiring in the past. But these newer vehicles look great, they look just like a regular vehicle which is what I think most people want. Definitely like the way EVs are trending with style and affordability.
Just traded my Tesla model 3. Would never go back to Tesla. The ride and interior is 100% better. The screen is superior to Tesla and the google maps and assistant are awesome. And I’m an Apple user. No brainer moving to this from Tesla.
Plus bonus of spending money on Elon. I had to bite my tongue so many times when considering an EV, not saying GMC is a better corporation but at least the leadership is not crazy
I’ve never seen a clear answer to my question about the lack of CarPlay. Does this mean one is stuck paying GM for a monthly data plan in order for that to function?
Very much like Tesla, I am sure it will work, but some features may be disabled. From a IT perspectives, it essentially allows GM to be on par as Tesla in regards to data mining in order to understand their customers to drive innovation.
Thank you for the vid. Owing a 24 premier with awd RS im lost on this. 45k+ US EV no wireless charger low horse power no apple/android auto same awful road noise park assist coast more? With chevy & EV monstruous depreciation! Good lord that's a hard buy and resale. Who is this for GM?
@@Modern.Motoring I'm on the fence with getting an EV...for everyday it would make sense...I live in Georgetown and work in Brampton. I'm just worried about the longer road trips which we do often.
@@Megdan1111 A PHEV/Hybrid is the way to go in your case as a frequent road tripper. EV's have benefits and there's a place for them in the market; maybe once solid state batteries and over 700 km of range is the norm, it might be a better fit for you. The Outlander PHEV, RAV4 Prime, Tucson/Sportage PHEV, Escape PHEV - all good choices. Wait times can be a deterrent for PHEV's, though, in which case a hybrid could do it for you.
ohh the canadian pricing had me confused at first lol this looks promising but for maybe 24k. legacy auto wasted decades on stock dividends instead of innovation. those two big goofy screens seem like obvious failure points in terms of longevity
All auto makers want to phase out CarPlay and android auto. Those apps get user data while driving that the automakers want now. So they are not going to give up the car user interface to Google or Apple anymore. Get a car with AA and CarPlay while you can.
This is not affordable 😂 used Tesla y with 20k miles less then 30k. Yeah I’ll go with the Tesla over this any day of the week. I think Chevy lost the ev war
Would you take the Equinox EV over the competitors?

@@yangyu327yes! The Costco deal is nice too! Though we only get $8000 for our govt rebate in NS. Rumour is that that incentive goes away next spring!
I have done so with the AWD

You must be mistaken. They should be the same price all across Canada.

Only way to make EVS move in canada is to increase the discount from Canada. 50k base is gross.

No CarPlay?! That's a big missing piece for me.
You don’t really need it with google apps
How long to charge this from level 2?
