At least this is the draft class for a qb. Been lacking for 2 years, had a mid class in ‘23 (CJ stroud is the only reason I’m not calling it bad) and now we have one of the best classes of all time. Got 5 first round qbs (and maybe Bo nix?) and also tons of wr depth because lsu produced this year

@@TommyflamRbxi’m not a huge colts fan but even i know that AR was better than decent. He was playing incredibly good for a rookie qb. Although we can never really know how the rest of his year would have gone.

@walkertrokey3922 Sam got shafted. That O line was not good. Not even Roger's could have survived it. Eric B forgot we had a running back(unlike early in the season). No balance. I think he will make it in this league. I would rather take Drew allar next year. Bigger guy behind a better line. Give him a chance to make it ya know?

Darnold has a ton of arm talent hence why he went so high in the draft at the time - if he can fix inconsistencies in his mechanics and decision making he wouldn’t necessarily be the worst option as a bridge QB to develop a high level younger talent or draft prospects around him and look to next year to find your QB

Darnold will have success with MN coaching staff. The rookie QB they end up drafting WILL be sitting and learning the offense for a year depending on Sam’s performance. None of these rookie QB’s are ready for Minnesotas offense.

JJ is not going that high. He is a qb you need to bench to develop. You don’t give that many resources to draft a qb that high that needs to be benched

I don't think you understand how many people are drafting up. If we don't do it another team will the broncos, giants and even the raiders would be glad to trade up and it's not only them there are almost 4 more without a permanent QB. all are speculating to trade up.

Problem is other teams will be vying for a trade up. Reality is of the top 6 QBs, maybe 2 will be "franchise" ....

@@death_nk1587 I don’t think you understand, that there’s no way all these teams are moving up for QBs like you think. The Giants need a receiver, not another QB yet. The Broncos, Raiders are going best overall player in 2024, & not jumping into the top 10. Drafting because you need/worried is very dangerous, vs. drafting best player available at the position. It’s one thing if they move up for the top 3, it’s another to move up because someone possibly maybe has a chance to take the person.
They need someone so hope they get a good young QB.

Don’t disrespect Kirk. Dak was called Kirk 2.0 not the other way around. And I always took offense to that as a Viking fan. Kirk was great but money wise it wouldn’t make sense keeping him and signing Darrisaw & JJ to monster extensions. We needed a rookie QB to give us the flexibility we need in the cap space.
I feel Drake Maye will be a star under Josh McCown and KOC. Either NE or AZ giving us their pick for our 2 1st and a 1st or 2nd next year should get it done. I have faith in Kwesi & Coach Flores’ defense. If Maye is Luck 2.0 or half of last years CJ Stroud we have a bright future.

Show me a quarterback for Jets haven't ruined in the last 15 plus years. It's the Jets. The Vikings should stick with Sam. Try to pick up Tannehill and Zach Wilson . They have an immediate experiment in Sam, a back-up plan in Ryan and a long-term project in Zach. Out of those three they'll find a guy. They should trade down and load up on depth. The more chances you have of success. The greater the chance of success

Just think, there's still some very good QB's that's staying in school. With all the QB camps and coaches are getting better and better all the way down to the high school level!!! I've heard more than a few times that Arch Manning could be the best of them all. But, then again. He didnt beat out Ewers for the starting job.

I’m confused with minnesotas plan because with them making aggressive moves like taking some big name guys from my Texans, and other tools. However, they won’t make a playoff push with sam darnold or whichever rookie qb falls to their pick.

Vikings have some decisions to make. Either build a better team around Darnold or draft a potential replacement. With no 2nd or 3rd round pick it eliminates the ability to pick up Nix and Penix if they fall. Could take whoever is there in the 4th round if they like the prospect but needs some work.
