'Clinical trial for malaria treatment to resume soon', says Vigyan Ratna awardee Prof Padmanaban

  • Professor Govindarajan Padmanaban received the Vigyan Ratna Award, the highest recognition in science and technology by the government, for his contributions to biosciences. Prof Govindarajan Padmanaban, eminent biotechnologist, biochemist and the former director of the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), spoke to ThePrint on his work around the malarial parasite, his tryst to bring better technology to India and the need for genetically modified crops. Prof Padmanaban also talks about the Centre's new BioE3 Policy, which aims to promote biomanufacturing in India.
