- I thought that this Clown add-on was useless, but it turns out that this isn't true at all. The Fingerless Parade Gloves actually give a noticeable boost that can make a big difference!

this is 1 add-on I once asked on the forums to be basekit and clown mains shat on me for it, it's 1 add-on i'm never taking off.

Yea you gotta be careful of people that say they are mains for the most part, and have several thousand posts on the forums. I’ve really had nothing but bad experiences with these types of players that are…extremely vocal, and less show. And there is a perfect reason they don’t show much, cause when they do it’s a disaster.
From what I can tell, it’s just a term people use for how much Bp they spend on a specific character, not necessarily any skill or knowledge correlation.
There’s one really cool thing that I figured out while using parade gloves that doesn’t seem do be possible without it. Pretty much what it is is that if you’re on rpd you go up to the top of the stairs in the middle/main lobby and you look almost wherever you want on the ceiling in the main lobby and you can throw a bottle and it will actually hit the ceiling and cover a good 1/3rd or 1/2 of the entire main lobby area and I’m guessing this is further increased with the addon that increases the size of the gas area.

That sounds cool as heck, but keep in mind that the further you spread a bottle the more gaps that there will be between the individual small gas clouds. The Bottle of Chloroform is good for that playstyle since it makes them bigger.
I honestly cannot play Clown without this add-on anymore. The reduced angle alone makes hitting bottles a lot easier for me. The extra speed on top of that is just fantastic.
I agree taking them off makes me feel way more likely to miss

As a Clown main, I can confirm this makes it possible to play Clown on Hawkins and other maps with low ceilings
that's huge, I struggle with Unknown on that map for the same reason of the arc hitting lights and stuff
5:18 an easy way to predict whether you make a hook or not is to keep count of how many times a survivor moans. Generally, a survivor will moan (or grunt) 9 times on your shoulder before wiggling free.
Or just count to 15 seconds. Considering how much this game revolves around time, having a good internal clock will benefit you in other ways.
People used to make fun of me for counting aloud to 16 while carrying a survivor on stream lol
I've heard this many times, but to me it's way easier to picture mentally how far a hook is and try to factor in things like a bodyblock, etc.

I’ve never taken parade gloves off for two years for the exact reasons you listed, the extra projectile speed (and reduced charge time) goes STUPID
When I started properly maining Clown about 2 or 3 years ago I started playing with this add on quite a bit and was under the impression that it isn't as bad as most people would think, though I never said anything because we know how the DbD community can be.
Was also wondering when you will revisit this add on and play with it more so you can build a better understanding on it.

I USE THAT ADD ON, I HAVE ALWAYS USED IT. I use it to snipe survivors from ages away to slow them down and catch up to them so fast. It is so underrated.

I'm glad I'm not crazy for never taking thses gloves off my clown! I feel like i have so much more control and range over where the bottles land.
also can help on indoor areas or maps like Lerys or Hawkins or anywhere really where you have to account for a ceiling or vertical obstacles I honestly think it would be more sensical for the straight throw to be base kit and the lob to be an add on. Just seems much cleaner power-wise.

10:30 when playing clown I also occasionally hit those bottles that turn me into happy borat
I love the gloves, less for the speed and more for the throw angle. It makes hitting bottles much easier and gives the survivors less time to react. I was definitely a staple in all my builds while I was learning clown and it just make an interesting change to playing him. It was also really fun to go for orbitals almost cross map just for the purpose of scaring survivors.

I just LOVE discordance. Higher MMR survs just don’t see it coming bc it’s not meta. But at that point, you know what gen for sure you need to defend, but it’s probably worth your time defending, and that there are at least two survivors if not more in that area
what is meta over discordance? i couldn’t imagine not having some perk to track gens progress

@@certifiedmenace238Other information perks and aura reading perks are just more valuable to higher MMR players. Tracking generator progress specifically isn’t worth a perk slot over knowing where a survivor is.
Some perks would include Nowhere to Hide, Ultimate Weapon, or Lethal Pursuer.
I've been using this addon since it was changed like this and it was definitely slept on. Great video Otz. Glad to see it getting appreciated.

I've been using this add-on since I first got the clown. It's great for indoors maps due to that lower arc. It really improves aiming the bottles.

As a Clown main, I’ve been waiting in an explanation about the level of use this add on has for a long time.
Nope I wasn't sleeping at all. Honestly I can't even use clown properly now I've been using the alternate angle so long haha
Imagine what that girl was thinking on the hook at the end, watching Otz throw weird yellow bottles in different directions and acting all strange going through them. :D

Wow I was completely unaware of this. Haven’t used this add on since the first version of it. I got 900 of these now I’ll have to try it out. I’ve used clown so much without it, I can see that the 15 degree decrease in angle is gunna be a downside for me to throw up and over loops like I usually do to strategize. I see this being extremely useful on painful indoor maps such as Lery’s, Hawkin’s Lab, RPD, and The Game. Any other map, I’d rather use another add on instead.

i wasn't even playing but felt stressed in that endgame. just foul how good you have to play as killer and how exhausting it can be 😥
You get used to it, it doesn't have to be intimidating when you play for your own FUN rather than for results.
There's a sense of control or confidence you get when you get good enough at multiplayer games. In this game, you don't get that as killer. No matter how good I play, I always feel like I'm on the cusp of losing or drawing.
I was thinking of asking you to give the addon a try. The extra bottle speed is genuinely one of the better upsides to any of clowns addons, and the "trickshots" barely ever make a difference

I used to think adrenaline was stupid but after playing survivor the last few weeks and being omega tunneled, and constantly seeing no way out I think they can leave it as it is.

Hey ! I'm giving a tip and also react to all "adding a thousand pages on the guide", but Arinad reveals that Harshton is actually pretty good with the sooner activation, so both together could really be good in indoor map : footing fast bottle without charging around corners to get the effet immediatly. That's all!

I think it depends of the map, on RPD or midwich harshington mighty be better, but on tighter indoor map like Léry's or Hawkins it's the gloves' time to shine !
Also I think that with the feather you can go even faster, but I think that it will be a bit overkill X)

5:45 the window tech requires the killer to move a Little out the window, so if you dont move after vaulting, its guaranted they wont be able to perform it
With adrenaline I can see them removing the health state, but have the speed activate after every generator is completed. Which could pair nicely with poised.

I literally always use this add-on even before the rework, though it did only work for reloading faster back then, cause I just don't like the arch of Clown's bottles, I know there's skill to it but personally don't want to invest a ton of time in Clown when I can can standardize to function similar to the other range killers.

honestly, after the 6 bottle and invigoration activation buffs, i am really enjoying clown.
hes just so much more managable with a few extra bottles, makes his pressure and chase way better than before, imo.

I use the gloves with instadown bottle on RPD and Hawkin, great for momentum, strong with Surge. Especially good for archives and dailies when i run out of ether and bleach

This has been my default add-on for years when I don't feel like running any other add-on, and I agree with the subtle value you can get from it. Especially on indoor maps.

Ngl I always used the Parade Gloves, not because I thought they were especially good, but because my smooth brain struggles with Clown's default throwing arc. Glad to know it's better than I thought.

I always use them with the celebration party add-on lol makes it more fun when I get them on target 🎉
Just use gloves and a feather, then hit them with a yellow and then with your m1. While you recover from the hit, the yellow activates, and with rapid, you'll be at 15% haste, and they can't get away.
adrenaline is the reason i run terminus and no way out, i love seeing a survivors reaction when they finish the last gen and they dont go back to full health and just die
I bet the change to adrenaline will be is you can still see their scratch marks or it prevents from fully being recovered when down
Before I saw this, I used confetting bottles and color swap add-ons. Now I will sacrifice confetti
I feel like this would wreck the small amount of muscle memory I have for how the bottles work, although I'm not opposed to trying.
Im sure there must be new paths to explore with the Doctor now that his power reaches longer, since he has addons that change how the electricity forms

I always use the gloves whenever I have to play clown for a challenge or a daily
I think that they will change Adrenaline to only activate if you are the survivor in chase currently. I use Adren all the time, so will be sad to not come out of hook healthy but it is what is it if that ends up being the case xD
this add-on was what i used for pinky finger previously, it was insanely strong
