I also dropped off my book on Friday first thing, for grading though. My status was the same as yours and I asked a cgc rep off to the side and he could see it was ready (what bin it was in) and was able to grab it for me.
Neo, Why does CGC continue to screw everything they touch up?!?!?! They can’t get out of their own way. I so badly wanted them to compete with PSA so we (collectors) have another option, but they have screwed things up so badly on the card side of things, I don’t think (sports card collectors) will ever come back. The only thing they have gotten right in the card space is the case! Everything else is a jOKE! Multiple label changes, bad shipping experiences…everything else. My most recent order got lost on its way back from grading and I am still waiting for it to be resolved. They told me it could take 90 days…no way it should take that long!!!! My order before that took three weeks…showed up a couple of days after I filed a claim. I so wanted them to be the real deal…but I refuse to spend anymore money with a company that doesn’t want to be the best!!! They are satisfied taking money for lackluster service!!!!!
I have a FedEx distribution center right by me too. The lady there told me to change my address to there's, and put "hold for" as my company name. Now my PSA packages never leave the FedEx facility once they make it there and I just swing by after work. Maybe check with yours and see if you can do it.

for your shipping issue, get a mailbox at a local shipping store. Probably good for degrees of separation as a content creator anyways. Will solve the FedEx delivery issue. My PSA orders ship to my local shipping store and it’s also my return address for any online sales I make
