You have done such a good job explaining everything to someone who has just started the game that I had to post(My 1st). Too bad this is 2 years later...
I hope it's still relevant JP. I'm sorry I'm not keeping up to date with this great game. There might be more videos aon my channel that you will find useful too? Best wishes to you JP.
Awesome. Thank you for the quick and to the point tutorial. I was using my utility ship to grind down an old ship and forgot to empty its o2 generator and it got crushed by an ice boulder. I am redesigning mark 2 and want to blueprint it this time just in case.
Thanks Théodore! Let me know if there are any other aspects of Space Engineers you'd like to see a video about. Thinking about doing a tutorial on 'Remote control' next.
I nice thing to have said is that you can put a switch On Off for the Build&Repair in menu 1, maybe number 9. This way you could be sure if they are operational. Another thing, you are right that absent of the build and repair it is advisable to put the projector into buildable only but this does not guarantee that all parts would be welded because we could start welding like crazy, mainly the outside stuff and miss the inner smaller components, like gyros, etc. Regular checks on the K menu would make sure we don't miss a part as it would say incomplete. On SE mode it would be advisable to actually switch ALL thrusters OFF whilst being constructed because it consumes battery power plus it does not put a strain on the rotor head, this is especially true in big builds.
I agree, an on/off switch for the BaR would be a good idea. Yes the 'k' menu for unfinished items! I wish I'd remembered to include that. Well spotted. I'm pretty sure I mentioned turning thrusters off, but I also mentioned turning them on just before creating a blueprint (in an earlier video). That's only really good if you are spawning them in. Best if they are off for blueprint building, as you said, to save unnecessary power drain. Thanks for commenting Alvarez. Some very good observations there. I appreciate it.
You do not have to turn off your nano build and repair system to use projection. You might want projection in combat and still want buildandrepair to stay on for repair. All you need to do is disable (turn off) [ build new ] option
You're welcone. There's plenty of tutorials here to help. Some may be out of date as its a while since I recorded them but I'm sure there are plenty that are still useful. Best wishes to you.
@@TallmanBradGameplay How things work in the game hasn't ever changed much. The menu cosmetics have changed a little. Most of your tutorials should still be relevant.
i started creative spawnd on earth at landing pads whats this machine do ohhhh a blueprint right what do i do to get it? now its gone n machine dont work? tease!
Ah I see what you mean. Yeah that'd be a good one. Oooh, I might need some time to come up with a simplified system for that. As it stands at the minute it could potentially be quite complicated. Getting various sized ships welded in the same machine and then detaching them ready to be used. I like this idea. I'm going to work on that. Thanks for the suggestion game1boy.
Thanks Timmy, I understand now it's been explained. It's a great idea. I was thinking "3d printer, you what?" haha. Something I'll definitely look in to. Might take a bit of playing with but it's at the top of the list.
Ah right. If it's a large grid blueprint it needs a large grid projector. The controls are the same. You won't need a rotor to place it on though. Just put it on your base somewhere.
It's a pain, but if you need to use it it's doable. I just wish I didn't look like a football/sockerball. Why didn't they make it look like a projector? Or even a camera? Crazy.
Keen are masters of unnecessarily obscure UI . . .
Absolute lad, you covered everything I would ever need perfectly and concisely
I'm pleased it was useful and thanks for letting me know. All the best Michael.
A new gaming tutorial "Professor" added to my subs! Thanks for the in depth, concise, easy to understand vid. Kudos!
Ah that's great Bru! Thanks very much for letting me know. I'm pleased you're finding the tutorials useful. Best wishes to you!

Thanks Peter. I don't have the xbox version. I'm really sorry I can't give the xbox controls in the tutorial.
You are god Thank you ! :3
I would go that far! Haha. I'm pleased the video was useful though and I appreciate the kind feedback. Best wishes to you Michal.
why projectors cant project pistons or hinges in blueprint? any mod for this issue
Not that I know of. Sorry.
the cross is the TOP?!?! not the FRONT?!?! omg
good info but doesnt show me how to build with welders vanilla
I'm sorry about that. I hope you've managed to get things working ok now.
Any 3D printer tutorial planned?
3D printer? I haven't seen one of those. It must be a mod game1boy?
@@TallmanBradGameplay its when you have a bunch of welders on pistons/rotors that move around and automaticly weld a projection.
@@TallmanBradGameplay I think he means when you make a machine with moving welders that build projections automaticly

How do I change when it says wrong grid size?
If the item you're trying to place is in button 5, for example, press 5 again. Not everything is available in small and large grid though.
It’s the actual blueprints that fails to go on the projector because of wrong grid size
Ah right. If it's a large grid blueprint it needs a large grid projector. The controls are the same. You won't need a rotor to place it on though. Just put it on your base somewhere.
Exact same technique. Even looks the same. Just the projector is larger and will place straight on your base.
Cheers and thank you for helping me with this 👍👍
Can a blue print be too big?
You know I have no idea. I can't remember if there was any limitations. It's a while since I played. Really sorry I'm no help here Chuck
I hate how fiddly and stupid that projector thing is.
It's a pain, but if you need to use it it's doable. I just wish I didn't look like a football/sockerball. Why didn't they make it look like a projector? Or even a camera? Crazy.
Putting the stuff on the toolbar does help a LOT though, I'm very pleased with that idea
