Hello nice video I have a question have a few lithops that are together in a pot. A few of the are starting to show signs as though something is eating them they have small cavities right above the soil line. Is it some type of disease and is there something I could put on the little holes? Thank you.
I am new At growing lithops and find them fascinating. I have had them for about a month now. I live in PA, and they are in my front window with East sun comes up in morning and no sun later day. Do you think they have enough light? I don’t want in sun all day to burn. I do have 1 Lithop growing tall?
If they are stretching then they are usually not getting enough light. So see if you can increase the light a little. Back from the window and longer sun. Also try rotating them 1/4 turn every 3 - 4 days to even up the light from each side
I am new to growing Lithops and am trying to learn as much as I can. Can you tell me what sort of temperature (sun exposure) is likely to burn them? I have them outside under the house eaves on a north facing wall so I realise they will be toasted when it is 40 degrees but is 30 degrees likely to be okay, 25 degrees??? Thanks for your informative clips.
Thanks Debra, we just published a video on how to grow Lithops and other Mesembs from seed, you may be interested.... its at ruclips.net/video/sM_odfgITGM/видео.html
Let them dry off to collect seed and let the flower stems dry out, You could trim them after they dry a little, most wait until they dry and pull away easily, when they dry they then fall away naturally after a while.
Hi! Since I'm new to this..I want to ask you.. I just bought some lithops and also pot them with rainbow rocks. It is a combination of different types of pelelith such as Meaical, Diatomite, Green Zeolite, Pumice, Red & Black Lava Rock.. What do you think about rainbow rocks? Should I add peat moss?or no?

Very informative with clear and precise guidance. Hope with all the tips given, my remaining ones would survive. Great lithops display as well.👍👍👏👏
Thanks Molly, we have a longer version that looks at pollination and related species coming very soon.

So, if I have a new pair of lithops growing from the center, and the outer pair are getting wrinkly and squishy, I shouldn't worry?
No, as long as new leaves are growing you're fine. And don't water until those old leaves shrivel up completely :)
great info!

Do you trim the flowers off after they're done, or do you let them dry off naturally? 🐀🐾

Check the Video at ruclips.net/video/T8okQoHpmOI/видео.html for some info on potting mixes. Rainbow Rocks sound OK however we have not used this mix.
Great video, may i know why my lithop split than become more smaller? Or it will turn big again?
It should grow back o normal size in a month or two after splitting
why i watered my lithop but still wrinkly? i plant it at asia
Are the wrinkles horizontal or vertical?
How many days before the soil of lithops has to be prepared?
Can be prepared on the same day if needed.
What variety are those pink ones??
Not sure which time code, but most likely 'Optica Rubra'. A few more pinks and reds from Japan coming soon... so stay tuned.
Are your lithops for sale?
Yes, however only in Australia from Succulents Australia.
All my lithops died a failured t me😢
My Lithops came from the mail in a bag and the roots were dry, will they survive?
I’m still confused on when to water
Roots die down at the end of autumn to the end of winter..beginning of spring new roots start growing
