I am literally jumping for joy here! I’m almost 65 years old and I want to be 100% plant-based.I’ve been doing this for a little while and I haven’t been 100% so I’m going to give it a go and I’ve been thinking about this all day about whether I am too old to follow a plant-based diet and then Jacqueline asked that question about Starting plant-based at 70 years old and then Ann mentioned Essies patient who is in his 80’s when he started and really encouraged me to no end so thank you thank you thank you !!! I am thoroughly enjoying this Q&A! You 2 are so funny!
I started my whole-food plant based lifestyle at age 72 - I am 76 now. I love eating this way - fun and delicious and so easy for me to switch from the standard American diet!
Hi Ann and Rip - I am tuning in from Long Island, NY - it’s 51 degrees and raining ☔️ I love following a WFPD beginning at age 72 - now 76. There is no one in my circle of friends and family who follow this lifestyle - I look to all the plant based foodies on line for information and camaraderie. Love both your channels!
I began wfpb at 62 and still going strong six years later. It took a bit to get it down but its so easy and enjoyable now. There’s a great RUclips channel called Well Your World that Ives many ideas to make meals. Good luck, you won’t regret it.
I’m 53 and i find Ann so inspirational if not a little wacky. But that’s the best part she’s not afraid to be herself!!! And she walks the talk when it comes to healthy habits. Thank you Ann for teaching us all that it’s never never Never to late to start new habits. My mother is 83 years young and has been eating broccoli almost everyday her whole life. I’m lucky to have great role models. Peace. Plants. Gratitude.
You guys, your whole family is really inspiring to me. I have gone back and forth between vegetarian and WFPB for a while now and I really want to make the permanent transition to WFPB. I learn so much from you all. I learned recently from Rip's podcast why I have had such an issue with cheese! 🤯 My hubby and I are getting the house stocked and going for it. I keep saying I want to be like Ann when I grow up! My hubby and I are both 61 and he has a ton of health issues. I know this will help help us both. Thanks for being so "public" with all of these tools and guidance. I appreciate everything you do for us.
Awesome interview! I love listening to all of the Esselstyns. They are a family united! Everyone is on board. I’m especially inspired by Anne, she’s vibrant, enthusiastic and defiant when things don’t go as planned (physical injuries are just a speed bump! ) She is the embodiment of living fierce, staying bold and of course she celebrates by eating delicious food! Love you all! ❤🥦🥬🥗🥝🍅🍆🍍🥭🍑🍒🥑🫑🌽🥕🧄🧅🥔🍠
I love to hear that Rip was a picky eater as a kid. I’m surrounded by those. My wife, son 2 dogs and 1 cat- ALL picky eaters. At least there’s hope for my 13-year old son! You guys are fun to watch and listen to and I always learn something new. Thank you! 👏👍😎❤
It only takes 21 days to get your taste buds readjustment, maybe your wife and son could try this, like eat a small bite of something they dislike each day to get over it?
I just can't get enough of Ann. What an inspiration she is. She's so natural and vibrant! I am 70 yo and trying to be totally wfpb, but slip up occasionally with salmon and seafood. I have purchased the book and so far everything I have made has been delicious. Just ordered the Amla.
Just watched this, ordered the Alma powder also from Amazon. Arriving tomorrow. Love the Esselstyns. I’m in Manchester UK. I have so much more energy since adopting the greens 6 times a day and my oxygen levels leapt up as well. Sooo many thanks for all this free info. Xxx.
What a delight Ann is!!!! I eat Ann's breakfast every day and love it! ( I just ordered that book) oh. I'm whole food plant based for seven years! A grad of T. Colin Campbell's whole food nutrition course....
Really, really enjoyed this podcast; it seems like I enjoy the one I’m watching a little more than the previous one, but I do enjoy them all. 😊. I would go so far as to say I enjoy your podcast Rip more than a lot of the shows that are currently on tv. ❤👍🤗😁😍💖
She’s a rockstar in my book. I’m 54 and hope to live to 100 and beyond. Food and exercise are key. The Esselstynes are showing me the way. They are pillars of the community. I appreciate how Ann only endorses her own products in her videos.
She is so cute and funny. How can you not love her?!! Ann is full of wisdom and encouragement for anyone going Plant Based. Thank you for all you have done. 👏❤😎
Love this episode! Ann is a firecracker and so inspirational! I have a question for her about her sprouts…which I love growing and eating as well…once they’ve sprouted how does she store them?
Always great to see and hear from Ann! Ann, for your jumping, check out knees over toes guy! Game changer!!! Walking backwards is the first step - then perhaps with your tire!
Package of silken tofu, 1 can of drained pumpkin puree (not pie filling),1 Tbsp vanilla, 1 Tbsp pumpkin pie spice - blend very well. Or 1 package of silken tofu, 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa, 1 Tbsp vanilla - blend very well. Both make 4-5 servings, best refrigerated for several hours if you can wait that long.
Can’t imagine “regular” bread but, I know you can make amazing flatbread from red lentils & water .. learned that from The Whole Food Plant Based Cooking Show!
I once cook bunch of veggie scraps to make broth and got my strainer and poured it over the sink. I guess my brain was thinking I was straining spaghetti🤪
This was a wonderful talk and great info. Why is Ann's sound level not as loud as Rip's sound level. There must be a way for presenters to somehow monitor their sound levels to match equal volume? Just a suggestion and observation. Thanks for the great videos.
Wondering why the title of the new book is "Woman Warrior"?? Men & others who identify differently are being left out. I hope that everyone finds the book helpful. Plants = Power (mind, body, soul)
Love the message wish the book was not geared towards one sex, non inclusive.. When a good diet, healthy recipes are for everybody. Those recipes are not just for women, why not be called Plant based warriors…. That is what you and your family do encourage healthy eating for all the recipes are no different. Remember we want to save everybody help everybody heal, everybody have delish meals. Thank you all for sharing the message
I think it's because Jane and Ann wrote it. You don't have to be a woman to buy the book. They also have a women's conference they host where they discuss heart disease prevention as its the leading killer among women in the United States.

Good luck, my tip is to eat enough potatoes rice and pasta so you are not hungry!
My husband and I are 65....WFPB for 7 years now. Best decision we have ever made. Feeling amazing!!!!! You won"t regret it. :)

Lentils and mungbeans are my staple go-to's for sprouting, it's so easy (keep the mungbeans in the dark though, they don't like light).
Why did you call you son "Rest in Peace"?
Thick people saving the world it’s a joke
