      @@TheRooneymandan They relied upon a European wide pool of resources, for example at the Battle of Hastings, many of the troops that fought for the Normans were in fact foreign mercenaries. Many of the architects and builders would have come from other parts of France and even Northern Italy.

I remember the canon there used to be at the head of the stairs. Thank you so much for your hard work . I will share this with my lads.

    You must have been a wonderful teacher. I JUST found your channel today but I've already watched 3 videos.
    I'm Canadian and I've never been to England but have always wanted to go. I'm a snooker fan also a motorsports fan both of which are bigger there than here. I've also loved the history for many years. I own all 19 seasons of Time Team. I have them stored digitally and accessible on my home network.
    I find your presentation very professional and TV show like. You and your camera operator do an amazing job. Editing too. It's all very professional. Like watching Time Team but different of course. I just appreciate your enthusiasm and the impressive amount of knowledge about the subject matter. Makes watching that much more enjoyable.
    I wasn't a great student as a child. I was diagnosed with ADD as an adult so that's probably what my problem was. To be candid, it's just too much sugar in the diets of children. I'm happy I wasn't given mind altering mediation as a child to "fix" the problem. I could have many more today as a result. The cereal they market to children these days is just poison. Then cram 40 of them in a room with 1 adult and of course some are going to be left behind.
    I'm sorry, I could go on for days on this subject chasing the problems further and further up the ladder but what I'm really here for is to tell you how great of a presenter you are and therefore were probably a great teacher as well. I just wish I had been a better student when it mattered more. As an adult, I crave learning and knowledge. The majority of the media I consume is learning about something or somewhere.
    If you have the time (providing you ever see this) to answer a question for me. That being, what age (grade or year) were the majority of your students? Did you teach young children or teenagers?
    Thank you for the excellent content sir. It's been a pleasure and I'll try to comment on every video. You'll always get a 👍. Again, thank you. 🙏🫡

      @thehistorysquad  13 дней назад

      Wow, that's a lot to take in, thank you, I appreciate the kind words.
      In answer to your question I taught as a freelance history presenter as low as 5yr olds, but mostly students were age 8 through to 17.
      I myself live in Canada now, SK. 👍

      It would be wise to consider keeping your opinions on ADD to yourself. You aren't a doctor and you clearly don't understand the mechanisms that are involved. Every time you spread false information you are making this world worse and in this case you are actually hurting people.
