- Celebrate Singapore’s 56th birthday with a brand-new arrangement of Tanya Chua’s Where I Belong, by the Singapore Symphony Orchestra.
Marking the 20th anniversary of one of Singapore’s beloved National Day songs, let "Where I Belong" show you around our island home in its glorious greenery. Spot iconic HDB estates motifs from Tampines and Hougang, enjoy scenic Punggol, wander through the picturesque award-winning mixed development Marina One and admire the panoramic views of The Promontory at Marina Bay.
Prominent features in "Where I Belong", are singers Syakirah Noble and Umar Sirhan, rising local talents who were formerly trained choristers with the Singapore Symphony Children’s Choir (SSCC) and Youth Choir (SSYC), violinist Chloe Chua, and the Singapore Symphony Orchestra and Singapore Symphony Youth Choir, with a special appearance by Tanya Chua.
A poignant reminder of home: Whether rain or shine, with friends and families by our sides, this is where we know we belong.

Thanks everyone for listening! It was so much fun arranging this song for the orchestra and choir!
Congratulations! Definitely a success! ❤️
@@ilan9588 thank you :)
Dude! I didn't know you arranged this
Chloe Chua is great. A gem to SG.
SSO is itself a gem, we should treasure and not forget that
@@LaksaPesto Definitely. I loved SSO so much when I visited Singapore. I too am from an orchestra. But Chloe Chua is a gifted child and we rarely see this these days.
Well done everyone, keep up the good work
Take care and stay healthy!
God bless everyone of you.

Cameras showing Singapore in a splendid sight. This song "Where I Belong" by Tanya Chua was the National Day theme song of 2001 celebrating 36 years of independence. Now in 2021, it is 56 years of independence and hopefully freedom and democracy too. MERDEKA SINGAPURA!!
Yes, definitely!
Congratulations to you, Singapore, and especially to you, Chloe!
Những người Singapore quá hiền mà lại nói chuyện nhỏ nhẹ nữa .
Keep calm fans, loving Singapore is never enough, music is our salvation, united to spread good vibes, keep up be strong everybody, never let any evil dare to harm you, fans love youuuuu Ok?
So nice to hear a successful overseas Singaporean paying tribute to Singapore and affirming this is "where I belong". Lovely song, Tanya!
Where do I even begin how much I ❤️ this… l loved SSO from young but here… from the cinematography, to the polo Ts, to the heartland settings, to the close-ups of the tattooed arm and the bells (the instrument I know and love, especially because it’s never the centerpiece but oh so sweet)… I’ve fallen in love with you and Singapore all over again 😍 #majulahsingapura 🇸🇬
Chloe chua, what a prodigy
A beautiful performance. Thank you for letting us see it.
Omg… this is the best version of NDP song 💗❤️ love all the instruments featured in this.. Thank you SSO.. love the trumpet and French horn 🥰❤️
Wonderful arrangement by Avik!!
I got Disney vibes from this performance!=) So light and bright.
This is so beautifully made and why it is not broadcasted in TV?
Everything and everyone is perfect
so glad to be a part of this! it turned out great! ❤️
oh i loved t his song. Damn was so amazed as a child singapore could be such an amazing country. I mean, we only 56 years old, still got a lot more room for improvement right?
I miss SG…. See you soon second home…
Syahkirah and Chloe! Paging for Brett and Eddy!
the last part with Tanya Chua ends off the song so perfectly ❤️
She wears glasses too. She sang the Star Spangled Banner.
Great presentation.
really great arrangement! If this can be done every year would be good

Got chills
Nicely done!!!! Great to see a remake version of this song as well. Excellently done!
Beautiful orchestral arrangement !

i love this song. esp the og version. this song has so many sentimental values in it and btw is thr a score set for this hehe
beautiful work~
❤️❤️❤️this singing 👍
Beautiful Bel Canto! Good job! Singapore is getting more cultural! I am glad to see that.
Very poetic and romantic.
It sounds like it is written for a stage musical, is it?
My fav NDP song!!!!! Should celebrate the 20th anniversary of Where I Belong. I feel so old :')
Congratulations on an amazing arrangement Avik Chari!

What’s with the kimono?
Who is syarikah? I see her on one of the two set violin video, why is she here?
She’s probably a professional singer in Singapore
Are you referring to chloe Chua? Syakirah is the singer.
@@lnwon8836 Syakirah was also in a few videos

Chloe Chua in twosetviolin
Quality content!
This NDP song was 20 years ago before 9-11
👍👍👍👍👍👏👏👏👏👏
Ling Ling 40 Hours!
😁😁😁
This NDP reminds me of Star Spangled Banner.
nice .. but still prefer the older version sung by Tanya Chua
Indeed, nothing can replace the original! This is our tribute to it! :)
Hi
Hi from Singapore! Glad to have you here!
My music teache hudsband there h played the drums
Didn't expect to see Syakirah here!! And Chloe!! #twosetviolin
did the lead singer appear in twosetviolin before
No.
The lyrics are different.
Is the female singer using sign language?
Saddens me to see SG becoming ununited, countrymen starting to abuse each other. In the NTUC with people all masked up and arguing/fighting over trivailities like queue, I can't imagine this playing in the background. This does not pack the vibe it used to have in the early 2000s
I feel like most of the fighting happens on social media... I have not notice any major differences in real life. Singapore is a lot more crowded these days but in general everyone is still civil and nice.
For context, I used to work in Guangzhou/Shenzhen where it's very common to see snatch thieves on motorbikes, people fighting or having big arguments every time I'm out walking the streets. It is so common!... In Singapore, I can't even remember the last time I saw people fighting.
Reminds me of Harry Potter.
Nice music. Singers sing for the sake of the singing,so commercial....if add more expression, the song will be good.....
ª
@3:00 "yeah ...Singapore is where I belong" and she has been in Taiwan last 15 years. Hmmm..
what to do .. singing career in SG can’t earn a living for her so she has to venture oversea mah
lol another rearrangement (nubbad) but run out of ideas for new songs is it?
Yuck ! Horrible mess. A misuse of talents.
Uhm... What ?
Weirdo
@@sak_1017 I know right??
@@sak_1017 The two singers are totally redundant, and unfortunately Chloe Chua is reduced to a token appearance, an insult to her fantastic talents. Just because you have the best ingredients doesn't mean combining them will give you the best dish. The only thing weird is the wacky arrangement.
