  • Atezr sent me a 36 watt diode laser to review and give first impressions. A Laser with 36watts of power is a beast...this uses six 6watt lasers all firing and working together via prisms to make one insanely powerful beam. In this video I cut some wood, make some engravings, engrave some metal, and then go for some deep performance tests to see...can this cut through 1 inch of wood?
Update: Atezr is now running a points redemption campaign! I find this a great way to have a shot at winning freebies (and have gotten free 3d printers from related campaigns in the past!) They're currently giving out everything from material to extension kits and accessories...
Join the Atezr Engraver Enthusiasts group to discuss creative content and win your monthly prizes: permalink.ph...
You can find out more about this laser on the official Atezr site (which has specific sales different than amazon)

The amazon site sometimes has coupons, currently on this official listing I'm seeing one for $400 off: amzn.to/3QksOUX
This site here is where I generate alot of my files such as the drawer inserts...a must have for any laser enthusiast:

Note: Thingiverse has quite a few laser files...add 'laser' to your search and you'll find quite a few that other sites will try to sell. It's a great starting out resource!

"No corners were cut"~Joe, until you made awesome boxes! I am pretty sure there were upwards of 50 corners cut in this video lol. Wow what a cool product. Great tutorial and the slate coasters are beautiful.

You forgot to mention that support for this item is trash. First of all, you cannot purchase spare parts such as certain cables, the x-axis adjuster, or even a laser module to use as a spare. My autofocus failed. which seems to be common for this model (google it), and support could not fix it. The flame detection failed and the laser continued to burn and did not return to the "home" location causing the laser head to melt. Atezr would only replace the laser head with a 5w laser and stated it would work on my machine. I'm still fighting with them to honor their warranty... 3 months later.

Thanks for reporting on this. One of the hard parts of when we are reviewing is we typically get the unit before its publicly available, and I don't often know what support will be like or what accessories will be available yet. In the future though I'll make sure to ask and get some statements from the companies, but the sad part is if they don't honor them there isn't much recourse (I had one company tell me they'd provide an accessory that they indefinitely delayed). I've been turning down laser reviews because of things like this....I never want someone to buy on a review and end up in a bad spot. I'm sorry to hear yours is in that shape...mines still be good, but it's hard to know if it's a one off for mfg or if the products truly got quality issues. Support however, I'm disappointed to hear that and will keep that in mind in the future.
