  • Putting to the test what many call the cheapest vitamin c serum in this Rohto Melano CC Brightening Vitamin C Cream Review.
Hey guys and welcome back to Mad About Skin where today I want to review the Rohto Melano CC Brightening Vitamin C Cream which people often call the cheapest vitamin c serum.
Vitamin C is a wonderful ingredient to include in your skincare routine. It brightens the skin, boosts collagen production and provides great antioxidant benefit all day long.
People often call the Melano CC Vitamin C serum the cheapest on the market but this isn't strictly true, there are other drugstore vitamin c serums which come with a lower price point.. However even if it isn't strictly the cheapest, lets put it to the test and see if its the best vitamin c serum for face and your skincare routine.
The pros are this genuinely worked, when it comes to my vitamin c before and after experience with this product I was impressed. My skin was brighter and it faded my acne marks and hyperpigmentation. I also love the packaging and the formulation which delays oxidation which means your vitamin c lasts longer.
The cons were the refusal of Rohto to say what the concentration of the vitamin c is in the formulation so you have no idea what your using on your skin. Its also a fragranced product which wont be a problem for all but is something to call out if your looking for fragrance free skincare routines.
I would love to know what your thoughts and feelings are when it comes to the melon cc vitamin c, so let me know in the comments below.
If you enjoyed this video then please consider giving it a thumbs up and a like to let me know.

Eventhough I agree with you re disclosure of the % of vitaC as well, but before you throw in the towel, thing about this. If you are getting better result and less irritation than from a product that discloses the %, does it really matter ?! In labs perhaps a 20% will perform more effectively than the 10%,but once it’s formulated with other ingredients and packaged, the result may show completely different results. For example, if a 20% is packaged in a dropper bottle, it maybe be less effective over time than a 10% like this Melano that is package without air. So I’d say let the result speak for itself and not get hung up on the %.

    One of the best.
the main reason it's so good is because the container prevents air from going on so it comes out a drop at a time and doesn't oxidize.
I've had mine for a while and it's still clear as the day I bought it.

Did you store it in the refrigerators? Beacuse I live in varsity hall, I can't put it on the refrigerator but I want to try a vitamin c 🙂

@@bushrasayed6802 It doesn't need to be stored in a fridge but still doesn't oxidize for months. I haven't had one oxidize on me before I've finished it anyway.

I ADORE this product. Its been an absolute game changer. I’ve been using it for almost four months, with about a months amount of product left, and it’s still perfectly clear. Its beginning to fade some of my most stubborn dark spots that alpha Arbutin and others couldn’t make a dent in. Plus, whenever I get a pimple, the resulting dark spot takes soooo much longer to come and it is so faint I’m not sure if it’s even there. I hope it’s never discontinued. Such a wonderful price and longevity too!

It doesn't disclose the amount of vitamin c in the product but my skin has never looked so good since I started using this! The packaging is ideal too. I had it for about 7 months and it was still pretty much clear! (good for people who can't spend over £15 on a serum that has to be used within a few weeks)

Hi hun, this is from a brand which in theory is BUT also sell into mainland china which mandates testing on cosmetics and skincare... the think which makes it more complicated is that China now have opt outs, many of which apply to Japanese brands like this one which means they dont have to test on animals.. I reached out to them and got a response similar to this so I would recommend everyone do their own research and then work out whether it fits with their values and stance.. sending you lots of love xx

@@MadAboutSkin thanks for this explanation! would love to see a vid of brands you reached out to post-china law change that have said their products are exempt now
