I love this channel... indeed faith is built and not given... I am so glad to view the journey and I will share with my future grandchildren when they get here... keep up the great work.
I should have added to my first post, just how much I love, not only hearing what the Lord is opening up for you, but also seeing how faithful you are in following His calling! ❤🙏😊 I am a born again Christian from Canada as well! 🤗 Living in the end times (as I'm sure you can agree with considering the disaster this world is in 😕) has opened my eyes more and more to His word and just how accurate His prophecies are! So, continue living your lives for Him...do not worry about anything... you know He's got you covered...and continue to bless ppl around the world who enjoy watching you live your lives in faith! God Bless you! ❤🙏🇨🇦
Sorry to everyone that watched the first draft where I forgot... to put in the pictures of Leslie's cool house. This one is corrected. Around minute 7 if you want to skip ahead.
Rob…..you need to put your cute red car in the container you’re getting. That would be a great car for you two to toodle around the French villages. 😉🙏
God continue to bless you guys. You are both amazing. You are a testament to what God can do when we have faith and trust in Him. Love, prayers and blessings.
We have been blessed to follow your journey as a family as well as the continuing development of your Chateau de la Grifferaie ministry. Love to see Mr. Bingley front and center of your videos. What an adorable and good boy he is!
It's wonderful news that you'll be able to offer study abroad sessions each year! I know it's taken a lot of maneuvering to get there, but your students obviously love the program you offer and their lives are enriched by their time in France traveling and learning with you in Europe.
I adore your Oregon coastline, and that lighthouse! It sounds like things are moving forward, and despite the scary parts of change, you are working things out. I always love your French Advent series! There are beautiful sunsets all over, but that one is grand!
It is so encouraging to hear you share this faith journey. You are down-to-earth, showing by example how to follow God's leading without churchifying it up. His lead is so often just one step at a time, and you show that. This step for you is not for the faint of heart.... we are keeping you in our prayers.
So good to hear from you again! May the Lord guide and provide in every way! Incredibly Beautiful Oregon coast! I do wish we could get over and meet you in person before you head back to France! Mary, from WallaWalla!
Rob if we serve a God who can dress this world in such beauty as you show in the vlog, how could He not take care of His children who walk with Him through His son Jesus! He cares about even the little details of our lives. Love the vlogs and so glad that you will be able to teach remotely part of the year.
Great video filled with good news. Do you have plans yet for the upper rooms once the roof is done? I can hardly wait to see what unfolds with all that. Wonderful to see how God is using both of your gifts to make this chateau mission project into a thing full of beauty and His love. About the stuff in storage: once your kids have all they want of it, and you've shipped to France what will work there, don't be afraid to let a lot of the rest of it go. It's just stuff, and stuff comes and goes. The real inheritance from your folks is the character and spirit they imbued in you, which is priceless and eternal. (I say this having had to recently give up pretty much every material thing from my own past, some of which I used to value, but now I just feel free and happy, having less to worry about--it really is wonderful.)
Oh the questions abound! 1) As someone else asked, plans for upper floors down the road? 2) Now that there is a shift in life situation, would it be feasible to do one study abroad session each semester with summer being a shorter one? Not sure gow that would be for you economically but could it be doable? 3) Have you considered offering online courses while in France besides those for the school? Love that you are expanding and shifting work. 4) Has Leslie looked into doing her design work in France? I suspect new Château owners would hire her and maybe she could look into what it would take to be one of those government ones some Châteaux have to hire to renovate? 5) Have you considered having adult retreats? 6) What about coordinating more with the locals as you did once before? 7) What are the top 3 major projects you want to do once the roof is done?
Oh my gosh! My brother & his wife live in Happy Valley! They have lived there since 1995 but are retiring in November & moving to Alabama once their house sells. Keep showing the progress on the chateau while you are gone.
Perhaps this will sound like an overly simple solution to the complex problem of dealing with inherited items. I've had to do it - moving several generations worth of furniture and other items into a house 1/3 the size. In order to brutally trim down, but not let go entirely, I took photos of everything. Lots and lots of photos of things I don't want to forget. Then, I gave and/or sold the items on to be useful to new owners. I recently looked at the photos of my great aunt's antique dining room set . I loved it and used it happily in 2 homes. Now when I see those photos, I also think about the lovely young couple who bought it from me for a bargain price, and the story of where they were in their lives (expecting their first child, and decorating a new home on a budget) and I am forever grateful I could help them own the dining set they also fell in love with. They are now part of the story of that furniture. If I hadn't decided to only hang on to the photos, the story would not include their wonderful chapter.
Love your vlog also so great to hear you are Christian’s I think you are the only ones as I follow about 10 other blogs . I pray you are blessed abundantly from Pam in SA
Perhaps you can set up a Patreon account to help pay for the Chateau renovations and a buy me a coffee account to help with things like food and such. God bless you both for what you do!
You and Leslie are so perfect for this fabulous opportunity. God has really blessed, yes blessed, you both. I agree with everything that you said. The Christian journey sure is interesting, isn’t it. But God provides for every detail!
I really like you two and know we'd be good friends if ever we met. Tho' of a different denomination of Christianity than you, we share so much of the same passion, principles and ideals. I love that you share your love of the Lord so easily.
This video has all things beautiful!! The magnificent designed house by our now favorite interior designer, the fall colored leaves, the white house crowned with red painted look out, and the roaring waves forever landing on shore, and two lovely people completed by adoring dog child. Thank you!! Hope you find a place to live! Since Amy lived with you, could you maybe live with her as she moves to her own place? It will be very sad to me if the amazing fur baby does not return to France with Mom and Dad!! I look forward to seeing you again ....soon!! You always put a smile on my face!! Thanks!!
I just resubscribe to your channel. You are one of the few channels that are honest and truly into your life work. I am so glad I found your channel again. Guess I missed you. Best to you in your pursuit with all the young people. Really glad you are getting the roof done on the Chateau. She is such a beautiful Chateau. Looking forward to your up coming episodes.
Your journey is contagious. Love to see where you are and the people you influence, If I were only younger, and in better health. I would be working and travailing along with you too.
thanks for the update. Wondered what happened to you three. I lived in Portland for 11 years and loved it. Now that the roof will be finished, how will that change the project list? Will you be able to finish more bedrooms? Will the birds be gone?
Yes, the camera did indeed capture the beautiful atmospheric images of that beautiful sunset. If you do move to France permanently (which seems like a fantastic idea to me), it may be interesting to secure your income with a side activity such as trading in antiques and brocantes. The outdoor buildings would be perfect for this purpose. BTW thanks a lot for the beautiful videos, looking forward to december and 25-day challange :)
Love your chateaux and what you are doing. Try for Koch so others who can't afford the patron can support you too. Things will work as God decides I have found out over 75 years. Prayers
Beautiful episode! Very informative. Love Mr. Bingley - all this time I thought he might be a Bichon Frise like I have but up close I don’t think so! What breed is he?!
I wanted to pass on a suggestion. You should consider saving as much of the old slate tiles as you can to cut into coaster size chunks. Then make them into nice drink coasters to sell to people to help raise £$€ for the Chateau. I am sure many people would love to have a little piece of the history of Chateau de la Grifferaie. Anyway I hope this suggestion is helpful.
@@chateaudelagrifferaie953 That is welcome news knowing that you have considered it. It would be fun to sit with a nice glass of Scotch sitting on my Chateau de la Grifferaie coaster watching your latest video. 😁
Do you think you will be open some day for a bed and breakfast time of venue? You’re chateau is so beautiful and so nicely decorated it would be fun to visit.
Rob you mentioned faith , can I ask how do you know when God is telling you to go ahead with something and it is something he wants you to do ? or if it is just an idea you have which may not necessarily be what God wants you to do. Or if he is telling you that idea is not for now but maybe later. I never know
wondering about how you have found pet services in France? Vet? Grooming? Are their fleas? Now that you'll be there longer in 2024 I'm sure that's a concern. Are foods good quality. I've had friends do the container shipping from Europe with no trouble.
beautiful❤
Mr. Bigley seems to be saying:"Hey, I`m the star in this video and don`t you forget it !" Lol.
I dont understand why more people dont Subscribe to your enjoyable chanel. I truly enjoy all your videos. God bless all of us.

I recognize the house Leslie is redecorating. It was featured in the local media. Amazing what bread can get you.

Question: Why can't you do year-round travel study sessions for your university? Could or would the college support this?
Do you think you will be open some day for a bed and breakfast time of venue? You’re chateau is so beautiful and so nicely decorated it would be fun to visit.
Or maybe for Christian retreats?
Smaller furniture can go into the top floor that has low ceilings? 😃👍
Could u sell the Beach house and buy one close to work ? That Sunset is fantastic .
Does the gov allow you to stay for over 6 months without coming back😊

Do you think the reason for losing the house just might be a door opening in France to spread the gospel? 🤔🤔🤔
