I'm an FSU, UGA fan but tons of respect for Steve, he's always given my teams a headache every time they played him

Since I started closely following CFB, SC has been a fairly relevant team every year. Little did I know that before spurrier, Scar was basically nothing. What he did both at SC and UF is nothing short of HOF material. I'll miss the ball coach in the SEC

The greatest thing to ever happen to South Carolina football. Wish he could have kept the energy level up to continue leading the program. Had to end at some point, wish he could have went out on top.

Should they keep the interim coach and his staff and thereby give them more opportunities to prove themselves?
After they beat Vandy under the interim head coach's lead, they lost the final five... BUT 4 of those 5 were by 7 points or less, while the remaining loss was by 10. Most of the teams that they played were good too, such as #1 Clemson and perennial powers Texas A&M, Florida and Tennessee.

Spurrier got all flustered and did his normal whining thing when he was called on the carpet about his work ethic. Coming in late to practices off the golf course. Sending assistants out to recruit while went back to his house in Jacksonville for some beach time. He didn't like that and said screw you. He never was into the South Carolina job like he was the Florida job.

Not sure I agree with the ball Coach's summation of leaving in the middle of the season. I love Coach Spurrier and all the great things he has done for the University of Florida and our football program. He has kept me amused over the years with his thoughtful quips. I think something happened other than what is being portrayed. I always wish The Ball Coach the best!!

Thankful for what he did at SC, but I have to agree with Alan Brown. You don't quit on your team. Nothing "classy" about that.
