- In today's video more youtubers expose the massive safety scandal that stellantis has with the Dodge Challenger from model year 2023. Windshields have been cracking In the exact same spot. The company is trying to sweep this under the rug as more and more people are reporting this which we have covered I'm photos.
Now other youtubers are going to new car lots and seeing this on cars not even sold yet.

Glass tech here, most of those dealerships don’t replace em with oem glass, they usually get aftermarket cause it’s cheaper
How many challengers have you seen? Is this a common issue?
The oem glass is unique with a picture of the challenger right on the glass. It would take someone with a lack of awareness to buy a new car with an aftermarket windshield.
Amazing, isn't it? I go OEM replacement when possible.
Stellantis is on their way down.
Let's hope they are forced to sell our American brands and an American buys them back.

The intro is hilarious. I have a 2023 Challenger, thankfuly, no cracks yet. Almost 1k miles in. Fingers crossed it doesn't pop up.

My 2022 Hellcat Challenger broke in the same spot! I had Safelite replace with MOPAR glass. But, I did check with the dealer and they said it's not covered....hmmm.
I have a 2023 Dodge Challenger Skatpack. No broken glass issue. The ONLY issue I had with the car was the drive shaft was defective and it was replaced by the dealer with a brand new one. I bought my Skatpack just over a year ago. I love the car! I bought my car when there was limited amount at the time. I am hoping my Skatpack was made properly and the issues came after mine was made. Its disheartening for me to see these kinds of videos.
... I ordered/have a '23 ScatPack Widebody Shaker and I don't have any cracks in my windshield; and, I even take mine to the 1/4 mile track! Actually, haven't had any problems with it at all👍.

I wonder if they reduced the quality of the glass, because the vehicle has been in production a long time without glass issues.
Glass is only part of the issue. Inferior glass installation is called "lick & stick" for a reason.

The issue with Radford is the price tag for each class. It is no wonder why so many hellcat and scatpack owners prefer to street race rather than run in a safe enclosed track. Bring down the prices and you will have more customers.

Broken windows on the lot omg! I am convinced Stellantis already knows what VINs are affected. Just buyback those cars before they are sold to customers. With Stellantis inventory, I still think there are cars available for customers to buy.

I’m sure these cars with no glue in between the panels were manufactured in the same batch. Does anyone know approximately the month the bad batch of challengers were made?
from what production time frame on these cars is this happening.....i heard it is a certain line when they were made
This is an unfixable problem. The A frame is mis-aligned from the body & you can put windshields in these forever as there is more body flex than the tolerance will allow. Lemon law cars…That SUCKS!
Its a Must to put body support bars on the front and back suspension towers and subframe connectors on these last year challengers
Cheap glass and body flex. Had the same issue back in the day with f body cars made by GM.
This is why they don't want people to talk without someone watching or monitoring.

Dealers never replace with OEM glass either. I worked at a body shop for years. We got all the dealership work. They don't do any work on cars they mess up or that come off the truck with issues. What a guy needs to be careful about is to make sure the car is fresh off the truck if you buy it. I've had new challengers roll in that just came off the truck and a sales rep ran it into a truck. We end up doing 30k in repairs and it doesn't go on that carfax because the car had no owner.

Just curious as to why it's only the Challenger's that have this issue? I have not heard the charger or anything else have problems.

Stellantis is a great example of the saying penny wise pound foolish. Cutting corners on these small things, is going to end up costing them much more in the long run/bigger picture. Cheapest labor does not mean better for bottom line.

I cannot understand why Stellantis takes the risk of people driving cars with those potential problems. Just offer a swap to a new car, there is plenty of inventory.

Asking for a friend. Did Dodge quality go down after the Stellantis took over? Serious question here. I do have a 22 Challenger Scat Pack and it's the first Dodge ever owned, and only second American vehicle. Purchased new in October 2022 with warranty work needed straight off the dealership lot. Passenger door and front fender were misaligned. Dealer told me to take it to a Chevy dealer they use to do their bodywork. Bodyshop charged $85 to loosen and re-tighten some bolts which I paid for. Dodge dealership cut me a check for the money I spent. I hear you with the leader is in charge for the good, bad and the ugly but Dodge quality was never there, Stellantis didn't cause it, so don't expect them to fix quality control issues with the short time they've acquired the problem. Let's be fair here.

I wonder what that looks like when they pull it apart. Ours are all welded obviously but also have panel bond spread the entire length of that seam and down into and all the way around the windshield area for a few inches below where the glass would sit in, and for the length of the windshield. I wonder if they just welded there with no or minimal panel bond and its flexing under load and now apparently without load, just like you said t.k. I specifically looked today at work to see how that was all done there atleast the CRV'S are like that. I think the safety issues will be if those cars get hit from the left or right in the front quarters itll rip the front clean off the firewall.
I thought about buying a new Hellcat Challenger, but they are made by Fiat/Chrysler. They weight around 4500 pounds. I bought a 2023 Camaro ZL1 instead. I am sure the people building the cars have low morale. They know they are going to be losing their jobs. I am glad I bought the ZL1 with the 6 speed transmission
