    Sorry, I'm from the east and no one ever said Busta bit Red's style. This is a big reach. Busta rapped with a west Indian ( Jamaica), Flatbush Brooklyn flare. Redman's gutta Jersey style ... you could not compare the two outside the lil ad lib.

      Honestly, as much as I respect busta for his abilities as an emcee.. I don't know if I fully agree with this.
      I've had the album for 15 years, it's never really stuck to me.. the transitions between tracks & his song structure just isn't cohesive enough for it to be a solid record. He was fucking with a lot of time measures, which there's nothing wrong with, if you weave the songs together well.
      No disrespect intended, he's still a legend in the industry. But I feel like his true prime was in 99'.

      @@jarrelely1376 Red came out 90 on the EPMD song called Hardcore & Busta Rhymes style totally changed as soon as he was featured on Scenario before that he never rapped that way stop lying on this RUclips comment section. First thing & main thing Busta stole was his adlibs. He figured he'd bite a bit here & there. He ain't take a lot cuz he ain't have his over all swag but he bit here & there from Red. Red started that grimey hood nigga style then Naughty By Nature as well came out with that but they wasn't biting cuz they both used to know each other in Jersey & used to have petty beef as young boys not rap. So really it's Jersey niggas who started this whole style. Honestly Treach started Bloods in hiphop on the east coast too. Cuz he signed the Road Dawgz from Mack 10's hood.

      North Trenton New Jersey Both. There are dope mc's with flow but lack subject matter. And there are dope mc's who have great content but lack flow. I can give u a sample of what I like by giving u my all time favorite mc's. Big Daddy Kane, Kool G Rap, Nas, Krs One, Slick Rick, Ice Cube, Chuck D, Sticky Fingaz, Gza.
      With that being said Eminem isnt one of my favorites but I like him. He can spit but I dont dig Eminem's music at all.

    I've been listening to hip hop 34 years ...one thing I realized a long time ago is EVERYBODY in hip hop is a clone or spin off of someone else's style, in other words EVERYBODY is influenced by some one else in the game. Not only is music sampled styles are sampled and camouflage into something new. Pick any artist and you will 2-3 other MCs in their style or influence. Hip hop metamorphosizes with the times...

      You're naming old school artist btw .. So I will have to look at their bios. Original Hip Hop 1970-1979 .. Old School 1980-1989 Golden Age 1990-1999 New School 2000-2009 Millennium Hip Hop 2010 -2019 Trans-Hip Hop 2020-2029 ... Coming soon the way things looking.

    • @haitianpriest262
      @haitianpriest262 9 лет назад

      Intel-Pick My point is that neither of the two artists that I listed, got their styles from anyone. Why do they have to be labeled *old school?* Are the Beatles *ever* referred to as an *old school* rock band?

    • @snomelc920J
      @snomelc920J 9 лет назад

      Good point but hip hop is a different animal imo. I labeled them because of the progressions or changes in the music during those periods. They got there style from some one believe me, we are all inspired by or look up to somebody...it could have been a pimp a hustla or master teacher but they modled some one ...just because you can't see or don't know who they modeled doesn't mean they didn't ... But I'll get back to you... Are you denying 1990-1999 was the golden age ???.I respect your opinion expand

    What song did Redman have out before "Scenario"? Prior to Busta Rhymes's "Raaawwll, Rawwlll, like a dungeon dragon.." I had never heard anyone do that style. That shit was brand new. Busta Rhymes and Leaders were considered elite at the time.

    • @DennisCannonboogiewoogieman

      Redman was Epmd's Def Jam debut album Business as Usual in 1989 "Brother act a Fool" I forgot the name

    • @LeoThaLast
      @LeoThaLast 2 месяца назад

      @@DennisCannonboogiewoogieman Yeah but listen to Redman's verse on "Brother act a Fool" and there's not a peep of that "Raaaawwwwllll, raaawwwllll....." until after Busta's verse on "Scenario". Actually he's kinda calm on the song because EPMD were laid back, so naturally he just tailored his style according to what they were doing at that time.
      After 1991, all them dudes including ODB and Onyx were heavily influenced by Busta's verse from "Scenario".

Busta Rhymes (when he growled, like a dungeon dragon) in March 92' & REDMAN taught me "How To Roll A Blunt" when he released WHUT! THEE ALBUM in September 92'. Red most definitely growled, like he had cerebral palsy when dropped There Iz A Darkside.
