for the smooth bolt shank example, on the fbd of the lower handle, how did you not calculate Ey to being 15lbs? summing moments about C gives you 0=5lb(4in)-Ey(1in), therefor, Ey=15lb, not 34.7.. correct or?

Ey should be 15 lb for the vise grip problem.
