I feel that the camera man is feeding the cuckoo chick only a bit. Which I find it interesting seeing the cuckoo chick raised along side the host parent's chicks.
They feed them evenly as they can. Their IQ is not high enough to differenciate their genes. That the cuckoo opportunity. They still feed if the cuckoo all push out their real chicks. They thought anything hatching inside their nest are their beloved own.

The most aggressive chick(s) get the most food. Other nestmates suffer malnutrition, constant pecking, cannibalism, as well as theft of chicks to feed other bird's chicks. It's rough out there.

That nest is so open. A crow, hawk, owl can easily spot that.
Most nests are open, as predators know, they are not hard to find. Mortality rates are high for all nests nest failures are also common.
