I just stumbled upon this, i thought of having 6 extras in my percussion group play "tonal" triangles for the ballad. Totally cool, triangles are the most underrated instrument.
Triangle enthusiasts, PLEASE HELP. I once saw a documentary detailing how a tuned scale row of triangles (each in a vertical plane) had resonators attached, thereby greatly improving the tone and volume. I have spent hours searching for this, as I want to study the principle. I would be very grateful for any link to this very useful instrument made of triangles with acoustic resonators.
I think it's an interference. Every few micro seconds the vibration along the length moving and returning from end to end lines up interferes with with some wave cancellation. I think for Doppler effect, it would need to move substantially towards and away from the microphone. It's a good question.
This is a gorgeous piece of contemporary percussion - I love the minimalist approach of exploring the possibilities of a tonally limited instrument! Have you ever written anything for solo triangle? I play a few select percussion instruments, and have recently fallen in love with the triangle :)
AWESOME!! You're one of the best triangle composers.

hype
Innovative, creative and well done
I really enjoyed this. Though I’d drop the triangle many times.
I love the triangle Dinamics and simple fact that it's a triangle ensemble
Thanks, Alberto!

That´s really creative :-) I love it!
The pitch flutter at 4:06. Is it a dopplar thing? Or just how the percussionists are gripping the triangle? Great stuff
You are right, Brian! Doppler effect. They're holding the triangles lightly so they still resonate partially, but the effect comes from the swing.

:D sounds so cool
Does there happen to be a genre name for this type of music? Like music that's predominantly triangles?

Hey thanks so much, Marcus! I haven't written anything for solo triangle... but maybe there will be opportunity to someday!
I thought it was the most easiest instrument, after seeing this fuck im going to clap my hands instead
Really reminds me of the Undertale OST.
run watipute is coming
