strange thing is that people believe in some Jewish folklore fairytales as if that was true but do not believe in the similar stories from ancient Greece or Scandinavia? Why? What makes you think that the yahweh tales are more real than ones about almighty Odin?
I find it amusing that grown up people believe in one myth and discard all other myths even though, some of the Greek or Egyptian tales make much more sense.
It is even worse - they believe in that one specific fairy tale not because they chose to do so but because their parents told them so and brainwashed them in their childhood. If they were told to believe in Batman, they would certainly warship a batmobil.

I've been a fairly thorough atheist for my entire adult life, which is a long time BTW, and I've told my wife something similar when she asked me about it, I would say "asking me to believe in God is like me asking u to all of a sudden, for no reason and with no evidence of its existence, just spontaneously start believing in the tooth fairy." Lol we didn't have that conversation many more times.
First, the various teachings in these Ancient writings have symbolic meaning. You will find Eternal truths
in these accounts. Each person will receive a different message when the writings are meditated upon.
The message is designed for the believer. Each message has 3 levels of meaning 1) literal, 2 symbolic and
3) the "hidden manna" meant for the believer only. The sweetness of the hidden words, given under the
Seal of Silence. The Old Testament must be received wholly through the 3 levels of appreciation noted
above. Only fools judge the Holy Scriptures based upon surface translations. And our ability to dissect
and understand the Ancient texts is a surface glimmer only, of a deep Christal current of time.

yeah, they came to the only logical conclusion - since Jahweh is commiting atrocities and genocides, is cruel, jelous, requires compliments, gold and scent offerings, then he cannot be the ture god. Are some of them more powerful? What else the god cannot cotrol? Was waiting for somebody from Western world commenting on the Bible / Jahve issues - the exact same conclusions were done by russian scientist Andrey Sklyarov some 10 years ago in a book. He said that Jahve had some psychological problems, potentially caused by rivalry with other “gods” who were on the side of humanity’s further develoment. If at least two distant people draw the same conclusions from this then there should be some truth to this.

Jesus never mentions Yahweh or refer to God as Yahweh. He uses the word "Theos" which means "The creator".
You might have an English translation of the Bible which used a Greek translation as its source. This is actually pretty common.

Yahweh is translated as “Lord” in the Greek Old Testament.
There’s only one place where Jesus calls his Father “Lord.” Matthew 11, Luke 10.
Yet he is explicit that nobody knew the Father. Yahweh was well known.

There was a good Yahweh and a bad yahweh. Bad yahweh was an impersonator god. These bad actions are pretty easy to pick out if you judge actions by Jesus' teachings. He clarifies everything. The God of Jesus is the real God & I don't know if Jesus actually ever named 'Yahweh', at all. He only referred to 'Abba', meaning His Father and the ruler of us and all the 'gods'.

Anyone who seriously studies their Bible knows that Jesus refuted and corrected many of the things found in the law of Moses. Also Yahweh tells them that “Yahweh” is his eternal name and it is to be remembered in every generation. Guess how many times Jesus uses the name? ZERO. Yahweh is not the Father.
Very compelling except for his take on Jesus. When Jesus was taken in front of the temple leaders they called him the son of god. He responded so you say. He was a chosen son of God and said all who feel bad about their mistakes(sins) are welcome. You need to forgive yourself. God/Jesus doesn’t do it for you. Free will. The only real message you get from Jesus is to treat others as you would want to be treated and it’s never too late to forgive. Everything else are other people writings or parables you have to interpret with this first message in mind.

I'm surprised that Jorjani is misinterpreting the Bible. In John 8:42-44, Jesus clearly distinguishes his father from the father of the Jews who Jesus says is the Devil. In John 8, Jesus equates Yahweh with Satan.

Joshua / Jesus referred God as Father or theos, the god of the cosmos never once Yahweh. Jesus actually rebuked Yahweh ism and his laws several times throughout the New testament. 1. The Law teaches how to treat your slaves.
Why would a Loving God, with the World as His Children, encourage certain children to enslave other children., ESPECIALLY when they were JUST enslaved.
2. The speration of Jews & Gentiles (everyone NOT born Jewish).
That is 100% NOT a stance for equality.
3. The Law condemns homosexuality.
Never ONCE did Jesus mention it. Seems fairly important, since it carries a death sentence.
4. The Law dictates where a Jew can go & who they can associate with.
Jesus went wherever, with whomever He chose. If He was keeping the Law, the Priests & Pharisees would have LOVED Him.

Isn't the New Testament still heavily based on the Old Testament? It's not like they are that different. If the Old Testament was used to control humans, then why wouldn't the New Testament be doing the same still? Also, how can the Old Testament be a false representation of something that came later? That doesn't even make sense on its face.

The entire Bible is historical, metaphorical, psychological, spiritual, tutorial, & poetic. It’s playing out on multiple levels, & is applicable to all relationships & situations in this physical world. It’s a roadmap for overcoming the ego or illusion of SELF. I’m talking about every character, the meaning of all their names, meaning of cities, rivers, etc are all important in understanding the deeper mysteries which all pertain to WHO WE ARE…surprise btw, YOU’RE IT…Love made manifest. The death of John the Baptist is another transition point, or NEW AWARENESS, right? The Old Testament represents an outdated operating system for consciousness that needed to be upgraded. Eye for an eye leaves the who world blind. Plus, it requires a false sense of separation to experience or learn & grow thru, but it only goes so far. Love is UNITY / ONENESS is the next step. It’s reveals who we truly are, & reunites w/ what was never really gone. This is why the OT & NT SEEM TO HAVE DIFFERENT GODS, but it’s not even about that. It’s about our level of consciousness.
