The price is correct. I bought a white version with a stub nib. It is one of the best stubs in my collection. Writes like a dream. You can definitely feel the quality of the product. A truly remarkable pen for the price and one I really enjoy using. Great review.
After watching your review of the Nahvalur Schuylkill Dragonet Sapphire a month ago, I bought one a week later and I love it. Cult Pens had a 10% winter discount, so I got it for £45. It looks stunning, is very comfortable to hold, and writes incredibly smoothly. It also strips down easily for cleaning. So thank you, Stephen!
Thank you for this review. I purchased it because I really liked the style. It is a rather pleasant writer, although I do wish the flow was a little more generous, I find it a bit on the dry side. Oh and regarding the nib size, on my pen, it is marked the base of the right side of the nib.
It's been on sale for at least three weeks, going for $55 at the pens stores and on Nahvalur's website. Aside from the Lovina black and the Matira white, they've got some other colors in that same line for the same price, and they don't appear to be limited editions; the black and white limited editions are sold out at most vendors. A friend of mine bought the white version and is delighted with it. I think the design is pleasingly clean, though perhaps a wee bit too clean - almost stark - for my taste. I like the vac filler, though. That's a nice touch.
Though most retailers are sold out, they can still be found as of 11 February. I just ordered the black one from Goldspot Pens for $55.00 plus shipping.
OK, based on your review I purchased one, but the vacuum system did not work (not creating any vacuum therefore not pulling any ink). Thanksfully I purchased it from a great dealer, so I ended up getting a refund a finally purchased a Leonardo instead. This is of course one example and I hope others have better experiences but in my mind this is one too many
From what I understand, TWSBI has tried to strong arm dealers & even dropped some dealers for insanely stupid things. I really wish these Narwhal guys hadn’t changed to such a goofy, non intuitive name, but its not my decision.
Excellent review. I have bought the pen recently. I was at a pen show and they were for sale from Nahvalur for $55. So, the $75 list price is correct. What intrigued me was that the section can be roved for cleaning. I agree that adding a gold nib would be an exaggerated option. I have found the steel nib is appropriate and it works very well. I think this is the first vacuum filler from the company. It is also the first model that posts.
Have Nahvalur dropped the pretense of being prounounced Narwhal? Or, do you know summat about Icelandic or Old Norse? Not meaning to be insulting! What were they thinking? ... Great pen, grwat review. Thanks! My only Narwhal, by the way, is the Bronze Corydoras, with a steel nib that writes well enough that why would I bother with gold or titanium? It does seem that, since I have and enjoy gold and titanium nibs on various pens, the urgency to get them for steel nibbed pens that already write very nicely rather diminishes.
I'm still waiting for my Original Plus from Rome at the price of 55 EUR... I own 4 other Narwhal/Nahvalur and they all have excellent nibs and I expect the same from this Original Plus. I hope it will be delivered to me as soon as possible ! 🙄
I really like everything about this pen, except for the brand name. WTH?! I’m not inclined to buy something that I can’t spell or pronounce. Nice, fair review!👍

I always like it when the pen comes with extra goodies. Nice touch with the pouch.

I have the white one in a fine nib and it is a wonderful writer . I really enjoy it and for the price is affordable 😊

Thank you for doing all your reviews.
Thx so much from an ardent Nahvalur collector!
Stephen, in Europe that pen has been sold out for weeks now...i missed it just for a couple of days...you just opened an old would...lol...
Well Professor- a pimpy version of the TWSBI Vac700R? Looks good. I keep several TWSBIs inked up- nice to have a white to distinguish.

I have a schuylkill and it posts. It’s just too big for it to be a reasonable writing configuration
Does the vacuum shut off like other brands? I quite like that functionality
IS THE BACK KNOB LOOSE? MINE IS...

I am sorry, and maybe its just me, was the audio a little bit out of sync with the video itself. Great review nonetheless. Thanks sir.
I have the white one. These have the most boring nibs ever. I’m switching mine out for a goulet stub as the stub was sold out on the website.

I think the reason is because Narwhal was not unique enough to trademark. Navaluhr is pronounced "Narwhal".
@@buck-pucker - You missed the point.
@@cmdrdarwin3682 Sorry? I don't think it's great either, I'm just providing the leading rationale.
😮🤦♀️
😂 In the last section of your video, the soundtrack did not match your video track. Looked like you were in a foreign dubbed movie. 😂😂😂
Hahaha, that's hilarious (cause it's true).

Their website says "$55" hummmm. Another great review.
