Serious Eats staff have been working from home during the pandemic and we are working on our new series: Serious Eats At Home. There may be issues with lighting/sound/auto-focus. Please be patient while we work out the logistics and figure out how to keep bringing you the content you want to see!
Sasha Marx takes a visit to his local farmer's market and gets some spicy inspiration for creamed shishitos. Creamed shishitos are perfect as a stand-alone side dish, a pizza topping, a taco filling, and so much more.

For those of us that like Sasha's recipes, but struggle a little with his natural speaking cadence, upping the playback speed to 1.25x or 1.5x helps a lot.
I thought you were kidding but unironically 1.25 keeps all of Sasha's dopeness at a more crisp pace.
Sasha, I appreciate everything about you. I served this with Cheetos and refritos and taquitos. It was a hit, especially when everyone got the joke.
😂
Nice! I saw you put nutmeg in it. I was so excited yesterday when I harvested my first nutmeg from my tree. If youtube allowed pictures I would have showed it to you. :)
You have a nutmeg tree? Color me impressed!
That’s cool! Isn’t that where mace comes from also?
@@dorothyyoung8231 Yes I sure do, check out my instagram page@ laurafordesphotography to see the nutmeg pic.
@@mnamous9823 Yes mace covers the nutmeg. Check out my instagram page@ laurafordesphotography to see the nutmeg pic with mace on it.
How did you get Ray Romano to overdub this so perfectly??
You guys really think of everything! This is such a good idea. Love these little peppers!
i made this tonight and it was a huge hit. it took no time and is truly barely a recipe and compared to how good it was and how much it impressed everyone, i'm definitely making it again.
Mentioning eating shishito's as a side, my family would eat shishitos and korean gochu's dipped in samjang for a really refreshing and delicious snack. Although gochu's are probably 1 out of 5 hot so it was always playing a bit of russian roulette with them.
Live a little ! Nice Word ! Mouth water recipe ! Ty
Thank you for this! I'm making it with the red pepper (spicy) fresh linguini that I just got. Pretty psyched!
I would make that...I will make that!
This reminds me of a video on RUclips by Views On The Road. They have a number lasagnas and casserole s that mix use peppers and white sauce or cream to make a hot creamy dish.
are there any alternatives to shishito peppers? i dont have shishitos where i'm at (singapore) I was thinking of using bird eye chillies, i find it to be quite mild, especially when cooked down with fat like this! thank you
This would be a great spread for some freshly baked hard crusted bread!
Cool recipe. I didn't realize Ben Stein had a son.
You guys should get the content cranking before BA 2.0 launches.
Thats my farmers market!
oh, really? i don't see your name on it. ;P
Lol that lav mic cord
How many beats does your heart beat in one minute? Im guessing 5?
I missed your voice
He sounds like he’s so disinterested in making this video 😂
A voice coach would do wonders on Sasha.
Stopped watching when I saw the mask
