Difficult chance for Maja and I think Dobbin’s first touch is not on it. This was a good result and mention to Heggem (my MoM again); Grant (again) and Holgate. We do give the ball away too cheaply and needlessly, but this is a good Sunderland side. Need to get some wins under our belts. Credit to everyone who made it there last night. Looking at the Christmas fixtures away games with KO times giving scant regard to those who travel. 😡. Can I suggest we award Heggem with Player of the Season now? Hope the stewards didn’t hassle you this time.

Yes it was a 0-0 draw but it was a well deserved draw, and compared to last season when we have come a long way and there is still a long way to go in this season with many twists and turns, and giving our recent slump we are in a great position, and as it is well recognised every team goes through slumps, and the teams in the top six have yet to hit their slumps when we can capitalise 👍 I suggest that come the January transfer window some of our loan players ie Diakate and Dobbins will leave, as will the likes of Swift and Wallace AND Palmer, with Corberan bringing in better quality players ready for the final push towards the end of the seasons promotion challenges,..however for me that word "promotion" should be banned to take the pressures off the players.. We are looking great now so no matter the result against Sunderland we are in a very strong position..👍 Move Palmer, Bartley & Ajeyi on, reinforce our defence with quality to support Holgate and Heggem and we will be flying.. Pleased Mowatt was made Captain because for me the match day captain should be a central defender or midfielder, and either Molumby or Mowatt are perfect..

Sunderland put too much pressure on us, we couldn’t get anything going. We need to take more chances in the attacking zone to win matches, not draw. All things considered, a draw was a fair result. How do you guys think we were going to set up with Diakite in the starting line up? Were we going to try 3 centre halves with 2 wing backs? We know when Barts came in it was a 4-4-2 but had we been working on something different. Also what are your thoughts on Mikey being replaced at half time especially after Paul was praising him at half time. Hopefully if it is a knock it is only a minor one. I went in expecting a loss and I think a draw was the right result. Palmer's decision making still worries me and we're giving the ball away too cheaply. However, I have to remind myself that we are in financial dire straights thanks to our ex-Chinese overlord and we're still competing in the play off area, which is our best chance for promotion.
Mate, you're a great squad, but you couldn't break down the defence. The fact you had all the opportunities but couldn't score, bar an offside, tells a deserved draw. We are not your quality, we're a side that has been decimated by the Chinese, to draw with you is fair, because you didn't perform as expected.

Would’ve taken the point before the game. Would like us to be a bit more braver at times , we have one of the best front 4 in the league but sometimes I feel we’re being held back. Looked very panicky at times when in possession which meant we turned the ball over way too cheaply. Big 3 points required Saturday! COYB

However that doesn't mean he is above criticism. I thought we were really poor especially in the attacking 3rd. Mowatt, Holgate, Heggem and Palmer all created problems for us by passing it needlessly in tight situations. I said before the Hull game that we lacked confidence and we played like it again last night despite 2 good performances against Hull and Norwich. Fellows did his defence duties well but wasn't so effective going forward. Grant MoM again and was pretty much the only one trying to make things happen. Not sure why Corberan decided not to bring Cole on with 10 to go and put Swift on instead. 0-0 away at Sunderland is a good result but the performance wasn't.
