- Jan Frodeno retired from the sport as one of the best ever. He won the Olympic Gold Medal in 2008 and followed that up with two Ironman 70.3 World Championship titles and three Ironman World Championship titles. We talked today about how the sport has evolved from his first time in Kona back in 2014 and what he learned from that first experience that helped him win the next year.

Jan’s vo2 max zwift workouts on Fridays got me through the pandemic and laid a solid foundation for getting to Kona in 2022. I died in the changing tent in T2 and reincarnated when Jan handed me a cup of water at mile 8 on the run at the hot corner. Just the GOAT.
Jan's the best, articulate, amazing athlete, just a complete package......not sure many will ever lead all three events like he did.

He defeated the new generation too. Don't forgot the one time he raced Blu he had him literally crying like a baby at the finish line, meanwhile Jan looked fresh to the point of being able to do a whole another race. He didn't merely "push the old generation" and you saying that is both insulting and inaccurate.
