- I've been wanting to tackle this one for the past month, but I have gotten busier with work, playing more gigs, which is a good problem to have! This was a hard one to memorize because there are so many little variations, especially in the Going Down Slow part. I tackled it in sections which I don't usually do unless it's a really long song like this... or Dazed. I love the elasticity of Bonzo's beat in the slow 12/8 Blues section , but it can be very difficult to stay right in sync with him. Hope you all enjoy this one...it was a Bear!! Absolutely magnificent drumming on this version. The little drum solo at the end is really explosive!

It's basically a walk through a dozen different drumming styles and techniques in one song. Bravo. Goes to show you being a great drummer isn't about speed but about openness and agility. Gotta love the blues, rock, rockabilly, honky tonk etc to master this song.

@BONHAMOLOGY I am 56 too and I started when I was 12. I knew that when I heard BONZO"S KICK HIS BASS DRUM that was it for me!!! IAM sure you did the same thing!!! Thanks. That was factory installed, and unfortunately I didn't know they were going to put it there. I assumed it would go where they used to put them. I don't really like it in that location

That's hello Mary Lou which was on the original release, but on the reissue Jimmy decided he didn't want to deal with the royalties....I assume, so it was omitted.
