Boy it’s a good thing you have that ocean memorized 😂. You outta keep a topwater bass plug in your boat for when they start busting the surface. That would be a lot of fun.
Thanks Nick! If you really wan to get bit while they're finning, go to 1/4 & 1/2 oz jigs. I don't, because they're harder for me to unhook. The blacks were feeding on Needlefish, which are just a couple inches long...

Hey King, I have a open style, tiller steer boat and like you, I generally fish by myself. I have a movable 4 legged chair that I use and I was thinking I might take the two box chairs out. I never use them and they’re nothing but in the way. It would give me a lot more room to play with. It’s only a 16’ boat so I need all the room I can get. What are your thoughts on that? Thanks
More room is good. Wasted space in a small boat is useless. Be careful, stay safe...

how do you know you are on the reef? is there a ledge , drop off ? and what kind of depths ? Thanks Ray
You'll need Charts or GPS mapping, or you could use your fishfinder. Depths range from10 ft. to 100+...
@@kingslew1866 I went back there today and was using my down imaging and found some shallow water and some drop offs, one thing for sure is those huge rollers had my head on a swivel didnt really like that much. I saw you three times today once putting your boat in and you went around me at the take out I was waiting for that guy backing his sled down side ways and again in Toledo, was going to say hi but never got the chance. how did you do? I picked up a nice chinook and a ton of coho.
@@raybly6613 Congrats on the chinook. I did OK on the silvers, lots of nates and I caught a limit of big blacks on the reef...

Not as much as I like move from one house to a new house then when on vacation Alabama to visit my daughter I think I might post a video on that but did make it out last Monday for 3 hours caught a nice lingcod and a bunch of China rockfish

Those transducers are spendy. I paid $800 for the garmin 74, to replace the transducer is $500 crazy. That’s some fishing there! Good quality crabs?
Ouch! My new ducer came today. Hope I get a chance to use it... Crabs weren't the best quality, got a ways to go yet...
