I actually like this better now than the photo you took for the IAPSLC competition itself - more lush, verdant and natural! That probably just shows I wouldn't make an IAPLC judge, but anyway fantastic tank - makes me seriously tempted to get back into the hobby (work pressure caused a hiatus...). Keep the videos coming.

Nice video ! By the way I like how your modern and minimalistic gray interiour in your livingroom compliments the rimless tank withouth drawing too much attention from the tank....but at the same time the tank is stealing the show cause of the contrasts! So nicely balanced! 👌

Hi jurijs the green look amazing in this tank, the onf makes the green of the plant noticeable more vivid and intense than the twinstat?
ADA solar RGB makes the most vivid greens, the Twinstar makes the red pop and the ONF is inbetween. Great balance between both and most natural
That tank is so beautiful, how can you even bear the thought of tearing it down????

Honestly I like the tanks where you dont need to trim everything every day. the more 'lazy' ones most of the time look much more appealing to me. Like this one here :D Enjoy your day.

Really good to see the number of people in the hobby...trying to improve..I can imagine judging reflects current style so absolute ranking vs artistic quality and creativity may be in exact correlation
Im judging bunch of contests every year myself. For this reason I don’t take my personal result too serious. But it’s always nice to achieve a good rank

Love the video. Could you do a video about the Dario fry? I've never seen anyone cover them on RUclips before. Did you feed them livefood, or have enough of an ecosystem that there was plenty of fauna in there naturally?
I feed them grindal worms, like the adults, but I guess these is also plenty of micro Fauna as well

I like the "wild bushy" look too. Replicating nature at its best is an art. That said, I hope this piece of art find a new home.
As for "lazy," I know the feeling. Should a Mosscotton themed lazy aquarist shirt appear, I will be there to snatch one up.
BTW, I liked your method of adding liquid by pouring in the lily pipe.

The aquarium is good overall of course, my only problem is that there are thousands of aquariums that look like yours, I would love to see something more out of the ordinary from you
You can say the same to everyone and I have to disagree on this scape. Many of my scapes are classic ( like thousands others) but this particular has a very unusual wood that many people told me I shouldn’t use when I first posted the hardscape pictures. However, it’s a process, and I constantly try new things. But I also enjoy the simple layouts like thousand others 😉 so maybe one day you will be impressed by something unique I will create, or maybe this will never happen. 😊

Hi Jurijs.. i notice in your videos the water is so calm. Do you lower the flow for recording or the filter runs at full? Like this setup is using Oase 250 which pumps 900L/h..
I never turn of or reduce flow of the filter for filming, moving plants are the best

Hey Jurijs, what are your thoughts on the Aquario Neo Media and if possible, how would it compare to Seachem Matrix? Would love to get your opinion regarding this. Thanks!
They both work. It’s hard to compare. Neo media comes with dormant filter bacteria, and is available in different variants.
Did you just fertilize with specialised nutrition once a week, or do did you have another fertilising routine?
Tropica specialized once or few times a week, depending on the state of plants
What is your favorite lighting? Kessil, ONF? twinstar? I must know! Lol
If I had to choose one forever, it would be Solar RGB

No, it’s the oat flakes that cloud the water slightly. I will explain in a separate video

Congrats on the IAPLC placement Jurijs! I love the lush, full look of the tank. Not over trimmed, just letting the plants find their balance with each other. Hope the tank and the livestock are able to find a new home!

Love the "overgrown" look. Got kind of the same approach as you, little permanent effort for a nice looking scape. Does the weekly dosing of the Tropica fertilizer work for you Aquarium?
3 squirts a week seems light to me. im using thrive everyday.
I use thrive plus only twice a week since I have had the setup and it seems good for me
Well it depends. Back then I was trimming regularly and dosing almost daily. Now I have slowed down to weekly 3-5 pumps

The Rotala 'Vietnam' is, in all likelihood, wallichii. Just a different variation from a different place.

Mobile? Do you mean cabinet? I keep both lilypipes together for easy maintenance

I use the automatic mode. It’s total 11h including slow ramp up and down
