Congrats on 10 years. Stunning video as always. Avengers may have Ironman but Green Aqua has Mossman harnessing the beautiful power of aquascaping.
Haha, thanks a lot! 💪
Little do you know the avengers don’t have iron man anymore.... haha
Man ! Im in this hobby since im a 14 years old and im 37 now but ur videos make me love the aquascaping hobby more and more thanks for all the hard works on ur great videos
I completely understand you Omar, I'm in the hobby since my childhood too. Glad you like our vids, thanks for watching. 🙏👍
This is what we are willing to see! The reality behind the perfect world of aquascaping aquarium! This empower us to keep going and shows that what we face is completing normal! Thanks a lot! I loved this channel!
Anderson Grossi
Thanks Anderson. Well, you'll actually see some more real-life stuff on this Thursday's video, when all the wood keeps coming up and I keep pushing it back down 😅😅 Stay tuned.
I get a lot of inspiration from your videos. For now your channel is number 1 fav channel for me. When ever I feel lazy on tank maintenance I watch your videos to get some inspiration and build up some energy. Then I start working on tank maintenance.
Thank you for your word and support Mohandas. The goal was that with the videos to give inspiration and ideas to all of you. Helps with simple tricks and show how easy it is to operate these tanks. Glad to hear this works sometime 😃
I learn a lot with your videos, I cant believe this is free. Thanks a lot, seriously.
Thanks for watching 🙏
I grew a moss on my hand 😂
Well done Viktor and Balasz! You didn't kill Chewbacca 😉 You've made it look fresh and crisp again, awesome! This is just something we all need to do every once in a while, so this video is really great for us amateurs. Shows us we should be bold 👍and not afraid to do so.
I think it will grow in real fast and it will look great again soon. The trick with the elevated soil is a real smart one, considering the lack of time for the upcoming party!
Keep on rocking the beautiful world of aquascaping guys and enjoy your anniversary. Oh and please make a video on that, I think it will be an epic event!
All the best to you guys and the rest of the Green Aqua team
Thanks for the wishes Nick, really nice of you! Yeah, we're having two videos produced (maybe 3 during the weekend), one of which is going to be an epic Dave Chow workshop, the other an American stand-up comedy (hopefully on aquascaping 😉) Stay tuned!
One of the most true to life aquascaping video showing the reality and behind the scenes of keeping a planted aquarium. Great job Green Aqua!
Thanks for your words. Yup the idea was that to show you all the though times. We could do a new scape easily, but so many people loved this layout with the bushy moss that we decided to extend the lifetime a little. 😊
Ez az egyik legjobb videó amit láttam tőletek! Ehhez a művelethez nagy bátorság kellett. Szerintem az eltávolított növények súlya több kg-ra rúghatott. Szép munka, gratulálok!
Köszi! Hát igen, félelmetes vállalkozás volt. :)
Fantastic job! Congrats on 10 years! A challenge is always good and what you did is a big one but successful one! Most people would shy away from it but the video really motivates that person who is afraid to take on the challenge. Thank you!
You're welcome Mike, thanks for watching. Cheers. 🙏👍
Sometimes you need to tear something down to build it back up, bigger and better than ever. Love the channel, love the videos, keep up the great work. You guys are an inspiration, and the fact that you can have fun with each other and make fun of yourselves tells me you truly enjoy what you do, and who you work with.
To boldly go.. you absolutely did the right thing. We just need to remember, if you have a strong hardscape, it doesn't matter how bold you go! The options are limitless. I've always thought that scape could be better with less, sometimes less is more but it's been great to see how far mosses can go! I'm looking forward to it's growth.
Congratulations on your 10 year anniversary and thank you for the inspiring and educational videos!
Thanks so much Steve, for the wishes, and for your nice words about the rescape as well. We'll keep you updated. 🙏👍
Looking good! A big thumbs up to Viktor for sorting all the plants out ready to replant, that looked pretty daunting. 👍
Yeah, I admire his patience. Without that there was no way to make it this clean. 👍
Hi guys ,only just caught up on this vlog. The tank was really getting to a point where the hardscape was not even visible and the whole tank was just one big mass of moss. Very bold idea Balazs, but I have to say that the tank now looks amazing once again, a complete transformation, with so much space and definition. It will grow in nicely and become another stunning scape. Congratulations on your 10 year birthday and may you go from strength to strength. I hope one day to come and see you all and the amazing place you have. All the best ,Martin
Thanks Martin, very nice to read comments like this. We are waiting for you, hoping you'll be able to make it in the near future. We might do another update on this soon.
Turned out to be very beautiful, another lesson learned in aquarium maintenence and i thank you for that. And look at the fish, they're so relaxed and seem very happy !
Thanks for you kind words, Morris, yes, they look relaxed indeed.
Beautiful work as always Green Aqua team! Congratulations on 10 years and may there be many, many more to come!
Thank you very much Bentley 😍 🙏
Empowering to watch that nice tanks go through phases like that too. End result speaks for itself! 👍 Congrats on 10 years!
Thank you for your words. 🙏😊Glad you enjoyed the video.
I thought original was nice, but you’ve knocked it out of the park with your rescape....very nice 👏👏👏
Never heard that expression before, but I like it, it must be something good, right? 😂I get it mate, thanks for your nice comment. Cheers.
Dope! Amazing content guys!
Thanks a lot. 🙏🏻👍🏻
Balazs: The moss selection process begins with the...
Viktor: Just pick one!
XD
Great job... what a tribute! :')
I'm here revisiting all the Green Aqua videos, one very good panorama for a quarantine... Stay at home and stay safe!!!
Hi guys, a little headache in between the maintenance I think, I did. Yes you were right ,take it all out, shame yeah, should have done the trimming more frequent. Yeah yeah. You acted like a Pro and started from scratch, great job, looks even better if you ask me( I very much like it clean and tight). Great job,I think a Lott of gallery owners would have cried when this happened, you acted ,improvised and succeeded wonderfully. Congrats on your anniversary. Looking forward to all the artists gather at the aquascapemecca.
Thanks Ed, yeah, this was something we should not have left alone in the past months, but we're always short in time with the business, the videos, the customers, the maintenance, etc. It's tough even with our relatively big stuff. But yeah, we save the tanks where we can. And try to have more routine... 🙏👍
Fantastic! The rebuilt tank looks absolutely fantastic! Well done, and good choice!
Thanks Alden, glad you like it, thanks for the kind remarks. Cheers. 🙏👍
Congrats for 10 years of aquascaping.... Green aqua rocks....
U have done a grt job dear...
Thanks a lot. Actually we were in the hobby before we founded Green Aqua, so the hobby became our passion and work too. 🙏👍
Wow , huge balls required for a change like that and what a great result . And Victor sorting all those plants too, he's a real trooper. Brilliant guys well done.
Thanks Steve, Balazs usually doing the hard way. That makes him really special. This video was recorded in the evening (7 pm) after 10 hrs of video editing by him. Then another 4 hours to record this one. Unbelievable amount of work. But it turned out great! And we can not wait to share it a few weeks later how this goes. 😉
@@GreenAquaShop cannot wait to see that. Much love and peace.
😍 👍
Happy ten year Anniversary to Green Aqua. Can not wait to see the party and the aquascape Royalty :-). Yes, the tank will be new, ready, and spectacular by then.
Thanks for your wishes, very kind of you, well, actually the final shots were made just 3 days before the event, so not much changed until today, just about 2-3 cm of growth. We'll keep you posted later. Cheers.
Gratulálok, nagyon jól sikerült a karbantartás. Szép munka.
Köszi Tamás 😍
You guys are always so fun to watch. Great work! Can't wait for the next video.👍👍👍
Thanks Vinnie, stay tuned! 👍🏻
Wow you guys.... couldn't believe you were going to rip the tank apart but my god it looks awersome 👍👏👏👏👏
Thanks Ian, glad you like the end result, yeah, we had to do it, it was in a bad shape. But luckily - hands shaking - it turned out fine. 🙏👍
Although all the videos produced amazingly, this is still my most favorite content from Green Aqua. The process of the remake is so satisfying to watch! Thank you for this.
You are welcome, there is another remake - premiered today, check that out, you might like that too.
Really a bold step for such an old tank but good come back with lots of plants and miss.... loved it
Thanks Vivek, glad you appreciate our effort. 👊
That was hard to watch, can’t imagine what it felt like. I’m sure it’ll look stunning for your party.
You might turn in to a superhero if you leave the moss on your arm for long enough, good luck Moss Man!
Hahha, thanks! Yeah, it seems it has cleared up nicely, plants started to fill in the space. It'll look good. Cheers.
Been in your shoes. At first it all seems easy, then you start trimming all still ok, then after taking the plant the horror is revealed. Too late, let's take the blow....
You did well to redo it... can't wait to see it grow again
Thanks for that Steve, we'll keep you posted, thanks for watching!
You and your team are truly talented. YOu do gods work when it comes to aquascaping. I wish I was strong enough to ravel. I would love to come to you anniversary party and to visit your firm. each video you guys do is simply breathtaking and a true joy to watch and learn from. I LOVE YOU GUYS !!!!!!!
Thanks so much, I wish you get stronger soon and be able to travel.
Best content in an aquascaping video yet... lol... no bs! This behind the scenes stuff is what everyone needs to see lol! The IMPORTANCE of Maintenance and how to NOT freak out and fix what you messed up! hehee great job! as usual!
Yup we wanted to show the "real thing". And Balázs did really well with the complete replanting. 😃
Congratulations on 10 years can't wait to see the upcoming videos. Thanks for all the hard work you guys do putting out these videos very informative and entertaining.
Thanks so much, we love what we do. A lot. 💪 And love you guys for watching us regularly.
Congratulations on the 10 year mark! Great scape. Love the trimming videos! Thank you for sharing- Little Bobby
Thanks so much Little Bobby!
Happy Birthday Green Aqua!! 🎉🍾 Great refresh and cleaning 😍 This was my favorite maintenance video! I love that beast 😀 💚
Thank you my friend. Glad you enjoyed the makeover 😃 We will do some birthday video too which will share later. Stay tuned 😃
@@GreenAquaShop of course! I'll be waiting and crying because i can't be there 😭 😉 hehehe 😘
You will be laughing. It's a stand-up comedy - one of them. The other is more serious but very inspirational.
I'm new to aquascaping, and my first project is quite detailed in a 120 gallon...I have a lot of these plants. Is this what happens from lack of regular trimming? Or can I expect to have to rescape every year or so? Very informative video and I love this channel!!!
Well, it depends on what your goals are. Some (even us with most cases) love to have a new scape every year - or more often - in their tanks, some like to have it for a longer run, this tank - a tribute to Mr. Takashi Amano was something we wanted to keep for a little while longer, so this is why we did what we did. Yeah, don't let it grow too much, it'll cause all kinds of problems.
Stunning!! Now that we can see the beautiful, wood and rock layout, the after is superior to the before. You rock, Braveheart!!
Haha, thanks, much better than Thanos.😜
Welcome to the other side, of Aquascaping :D
That aquarium took long for maintenance, I imagine :D great work, looks clean again.
Haha! Also, you're first, not that it matters. 😂
@@GreenAquaShop oh I was? :D don't even realize it XD
It happens only once in a lifetime. So let's stop and celebrate it 😃
It was the right thing to "restart" the stemplants as well as the moss. Now they are good for another year. And I think the results will speak in favour of the restart.
I sometimes have a hard time motivating myself to do drastic maintenance but it usually pays off in about a week or so.
Cheers.
I feel you, it's more difficult to start it then to actually do it, once you're in it anything can be done in a couple of hours.
amazing work. When you fill up the tank with new RODI water do you put in soms nutrians ore something? Because only RODI water isn't enough right?
We do use Green Aqua GH Plus (salts) to raise the TDS back from 7 to 120 right after we filled the tank up, and before we re-start the filter after the water change. Then we use plant fertilizers that we add to the tank on the daily basis, these are two separate things.
It was the right call. Very bold move but the scape is looking amazing from the start. For sure in a week time it will be even better.... uff thats was an intensive rescape. Keep on scaping.
I had my hands shaking, but had to go forward with my plan. Yeah, it already grows nicely, no reason for it to stop.
I love your guys' style. So inspiring, fun and also hilarious at the same time. I wish we had a store like yours in Berlin, Germany where I live. Keep on producing the awesome videos and can't wait to visit your store in the future!
Thanks so much William, looking forward to have you over, just been to Berlin at the end of last year, love that city. 👍🏻
An awesome video might be an amateur question, what equipment do you use to suck out the water from the aquarium so effectively?
Nothing special, just a hose with a tap on both ends. I'm talking about this in my home nano tank maintenance video.
Congratulations on 10 years anniversery of Green Aqua !
Thank you Ralf 😍
Congratulations, how did you do to clean the sand?
Balazs it was really a nice decision to do it all over IMO. Happy 10th birthday to Green Aqua. More power to you..
Thanks so much for the wishes, yeah, did not have a choice, had to do something about it.
Nice to see RUclips channel showing a revamp instead of tearing it down! 😎
Thanks Thomas. Many people loved the extreme moss scape so we give it another round to stay a little more with us. 😊
Looks really serene and beautiful now. Great job!
Thanks my friend 😃
Your arms and back must've had hurt for such a herculean feat... However, the result is absolutely stunning... Great job!
Thanks so much Leo. Nah, I'm pretty good, work out regularly, and therefore I'm fit enough to do stuff like that. 💡Glad you like the end result, it was indeed a bigger effort. 🙏🏻👍🏻
I wish i could see this tank again in green aqua. It was really beautiful and natural . 😍😍😍😍
Glad you liked it, I doubt we're gonna go back in the time, but you have this video here to remember the scape.
This must took many Hours but there was no other Option and the Result is awesome.
Greetings from Germany...
Yeah, 4 hours in total, with shooting the video, etc, it could even be done in like 3 hours I think, all things considered.
Fantastic video Balazs. Quick question... Whenever I added more soil or changed hardscape slightly and kicked up detritus into the water column...even after a water change...I see dead cherry shrimp. I always loose 1 shrimp after a major change : removing stems and repotting top of stems into soil. It seems like any change involving disrupting the soil leads to ammonia or something that kills sensitive shrimp or in one case, it killed a otocinculus. Note...I did do a big 70% water change after these big changes.
It depends on the condition of the soil, really. you gotta be really careful disturbing the substrate. We have 1-year-old Amazonia in the tank, and note that I did not uproot the plants I just trimmed them as low as possible, and used new soil on top. With a method like this and cycled filters you should not really have Ammonia spikes.
Man, that was scary!!!😌 The reset looks good and I hope it holds on for your anniversary do! Great vid, Thanks!! 👍❤️😀
Yeah, like aquascaping thriller right? Imagine me living through it. Glad you like the end result and thanks for the wishes. 🙏👍
Great job Farkas! Brave action! Congratulations for the 10 years. Hope one day I go visit you guys. All the best!
Thank you Fábio, you're welcome anytime if you're around 👍
Thank you for your lot of information. I have a live plant tank of 2ft size. But after a week I found lot of snail created by itself. Is there any remedy to have a tank without snail.
Snails are a problem with tanks that do not have biological equilibrium. We experienced that when the system gets stabile their numbers normalize. You can get Assassin Snails to eat them, but then you can't have decoration snail in there if you want, because they will eat them too.
Every time I broke down my reef tanks to maintain them I would have a small panic attack. On rare occasions I did more harm than good. But usually I loved the results.
I like it both ways, it had to be done and the result is awesome!
Yes, and it's still not perfect, there's no way to take care of a total of 3 tanks in the gallery with stems in them. I might redo it again, this time with completely different plants on top. 😇
You guys can't destroy anything in aquascaping.. Whatever you will do is Gonna be a masterpiece only 😍😍😍
Thanks so much! It means a lot to us. Cheers.
Looks great! So much better! Motivates me to do the same in my little planted tank.
Gogogo Cathleen, be gentle with it and the end result will be stunning. Cheers. 👍🏻
Day off work and breakfast with Green Aqua is what I like :) Good job, guys.
Have a good one my friend 😃Thanks for watching 👍
Szia, mi okozta itt a fő problémát?
Gyakrabban kellett volna a növényeket visszavágni?
Really like the result, I think it will turn out just nice for the party🎈 Wish I could be there to see it ❤️ Love all the light the tank got all the way down to the bottom now. The old scape was my favourite in the shop but now at the end it was out of controll. Looking forward to see this evolve, you did a really great work with it and it's looking to be a worthy successor! 👍👌💪😍
Yeah, it looks nice today, thank God. Let's hope it will get to the old shape again soon. We will keep you posted.
The result is fantastic, i really like your aquascape designs. 👍🏻
Thank you Richard, will do an update on this one a little later to show you the progress. 😃
GREAT job, the center part of the tank is looking AMAZING, this is actually called perfection 👍
Thank you, glad you like it 😉
Really amazing aquascape! Wonderful. I have a request to know that I had 60*45*45 planted tank started in the year of 2017 and I used amazonia soil now I want to rescape the tank so my point is to know can I use that old aqua soil to make new tank with new lives or buy now soil? Pls help me Sir. Thank you.
I would use new soil. It is an old tank.
Thank you very much
That green in the middle attracts us
Soo great
Good work
Every aquarium in maybe 6 months or one year needs that kind of modification or elese the aquarium. Will get booring.
It's hardwork and risky, but this is the beautiful thing about this hobby
Creating art
Thanks so much, glad you appreciate our effort.
That transition of the greens to yellow-ish with pink spots, though! Yellow may not be the most wanted color in aquascaping, but I really like the effect.
Yeah, it is something a bit strange to me too, I would have wanted to use like Rotala H'ra, but Viktor said let's just keep this as it was.
Now we can appreciate the beauty of the hardscape better. Great maintenance session 🍻
Thanks for watching 👍
I was scared in the middle of the video. I was thinking, oh no, 😮 it's too much, he's ripped it all away 😯, but the end result is amazing. The scape looks fantastic!! Looking forward to updates on this tank and your anniversary party.
Congratulations on 10 years, and hoping for many many more years to come.
👍💕👍
You just need to remember, if there's a strong hardscape underneath it all then it doesn't matter how bold you go!
Thanks ShelbyRae, you know we like happy endings. Except in massage... 😂
Yeah, but bad planting can also ruin it Steve, right? 😊
@@GreenAquaShop haha hopefully the chance will be lower this way 😊
Great to see this process🌱🐟
Thanks! 🙏👍
I had similar situation when all my bottom grass grow so tall that when I trim it the bottom say brown, so its necessary step to do! Good job!
Thanks! Yeah, if we leave the plants grow too much, it's a lost game :)
Now this is how you revive an overgrown tank, ready for another year of growth and awesomeness 👍🏻
Cheers! Thanks so much, you are very kind. 👍🏻🙏🏻
Definitely will visit Green Aqua on my next visit in Budapest. You Guys are doing a really great job!!! I really enjoy watching your channel.
All the best fot your 10th anniversary ;)
Greetings from PL
Thank you for your support Andrzej. You're welcome anytime! 😃💚
Great material, you can see that you put a lot of work into it. I would like the things that I do to be as good as yours!
Thanks so much, glad you appreciate our effort. I'm sure your tanks will look even better than these with time.
It is a hard work. The result is awesome. As always the Greenaqua always makes absolut inspiring on the aquascape world 👍🏻🤗cheers
Thank you, glad you like this new video as well as the result. 😊👍
Always an amazing video! I always get excited to watch Green Aqua videos!
Nice! 😎 Thanks for watching and thanks for following us, you are great! 🙏👍
Nice reboot guys, can’t wait to see it grow in. Thanks for sharing the journey.
Quick question, as fresh Amazonia is known for its ammonia leeching in the beginning how will you manage the spike in the rescape?
Cheers crew.🤘
You're welcome, thanks for watching. We'll keep you posted in one of the future videos, and I'm sure Viktor will make some pictures on the progress too... This was a cycled filter (actually two of them), with a lot of bio media, and a cycled tank (bacteria living in the substrate - the old one at least, and the rocks, etc), with a lot of plants, so we're not worried of spikes here too much.
Great result. You made the right decision to go hard.
Thanks Tyrus, glad you feel this way 😊
Excellent video once again with some boldness (I like that). The result is fantastic! Thanks for sharing 🤗🤩
Thanks for your kindness Peter, glad you liked this. 👍🏻
@@GreenAquaShop You're very welcome 😉

Amazing transformation guys. Motivates me to not fear tear downs and overhauling the whole thing
Yeah, it looks worse when you think of it then it really is when you actually do it and you'll be quite happy at the end, I'm sure. Thx for watching, cheers. 🙏👍

Sziasztok, a mohát milyen ragasztóval rögzititek?
If I knew you were going to do this, I would've come over and jumped in it before you rescaped.
Good job as always!
Yeah, too late. 😂
I really love the restart! Looks amazing. Congratulations on 10 years!
Thank you David, without all of your support we would not celebrate this moment. So thank you for that too 😊
Happy anniversary from Bangladesh dear Green Aqua, Balazs, Victor, Tommy and everyone else!❤
Thanks so much, Bangladesh, wow, cool.
This is how my aquariums look at every maintenance 🤣
LOL sounds crazy 😃
Just imagine when you do this one day before Easter, and you doing a mess, and your aquarium stays in this shape for days, through Eastern celebration. And you are married ! :D
Did you have her relatives over?😂
@@GreenAquaShop Yes, this is the special dim aquarium for light sensitive fishes.

Awesome vid! This is my "problem" with stem plants, I ran into the exact same thing with a old scape I had, after a year or so I decided I had to just rip it all out and re:plant the whole thing. was a loooooot of work :D it pretty much took me a whole day to finish it ^^
It's good that I had help with cleaning and preparing the stems, otherwise it would have been 6+ hours probably. 😉This can be done in like 3 if you have help and you don't shoot a video of it.😜
I am overwhelmed after watching the whole transformation. I Wish I could meet you guys ever in my life time.
Love form India

Looking forward to have you at Green Aqua - hope you'll make it, and get some personal inspiration from the Gallery and have a good time in Hungary. Wow, that was one huge rescape, and you pulled it off, interesting to see the mosses from underneath where the light doesn't penetrate, and also the stem plants. Question, what is the longest time you have kept a scaped tank. The celebrations for the tenth anniversary sound great with all the special guests, look forward to the videos. Enjoy your party, you all deserve it.
Dear Terry, thanks for your comment. We had a few tanks in the past which we run over 3-4 years, but in that case, you need to look after the tank more often and trim it. Or do minor changes in its lifetime. So it is done easily. Thanks for your wishes and hope you will like the birthday videos we share later. 😃 😍
You guys crack me up😂. I look forward to your videos and your infectious positive attitudes. Thank you.
Yess. Mission accomplished. Glad you like our works, stay tuned then for more. Cheers. 🙏👍
