I couldn’t agree more with the rest of the comments on here, talking about how moving it is to see Helen read that last poem. She’s so missed and always will be. What an amazing, talented woman she was. It was sad to see Damian’s reaction after she finished reading the poem too. 🥹 My heart hurts for her family, as I can relate with my own family dealing with lots of grief this year too. It never gets easier. You just learn to live with it, but what a beautiful tribute Damian made to Helen!

OMG, this is fantastic, i know what it's like to lose the love of your life, it's something you never get over nor want to. I lost my wife 3 years ago & despite the pain i love the time we had together & memories i have
Saw the little preview thumbnail of this in my "subscriptions" page and squinting I thought, whoa, what's this? Has the National got Hugh Laurie to do a cameo? Separated at birth, no doubt.
I for one have a lot of time for Damian Lewis, but in the name of the wee man, the butchering of Burns in the Scots ::language:: (no great surprise to hear it downgraded to a dialect by someone speaking with “the sun never sets on the British empire” authoritative RP)… I’m at a loss as to if it was better, worse or indistinguishable from Gene Kelly in Brigadoon. Cod at best, genuinely painful and excruciating to witness.

Just why have you bothered writing this.?Clearly this programme is not for you x by writing this you bring an added x unnecessary insult to the concept of honouring a loved x talented actress.

Melissa Chan, an idea for Bendahari?

If Shelly can make things rhyme why can't modern poets?
Why do things need to rhyme for you to deem them poetic?
Well why arent you a poet? You clearly know what a real poem is unlike a world of world class lit majors XD

Worst opening ever ...
Could be good...depends where it goes..
@@shonawest4345 That doesn't make any sense ... If it goes well, later, this STILL has a bad opening.
I have always fucking hated poetry.
What made you come here then? :)
