You know, I never really got into the whipped coffee trend when it was big in 2020, but the cone snack feels like the perfect place for it. Instead of pouring in liquid coffee and worrying about drips or spills, you just fill the cone with the whipped coffee and actually get to eat it cleanly.
Instead of egg shells, you can use a little bit of food graded calcium carbonate (which is essentially the same as egg shells, but without the egg membrane "glued" to the inside of the egg shell), it might be a better option than having to crack open an egg everytime you want some coffee.
@@crazyjoedavola9002 you're right about the baking soda, even though it might change the taste of the coffee more than the calcium carbonate because of its solubility. And about the salt, you're kinda right, but the mechanism of acting is different. While the baking soda and the calcium carbonate makes the drink less acid, the table salt is not an alkaline substance (bc of some chemical things that are too long to explain) act at your taste buds changing the perception of the taste you feel.

My Scandinavian relatives would brew with a percolator with a hefty amount of grounds and plenty of egg shells. Use an egg? Rinse the shells, let dry, crush, and add to the “shell dish” kept in the fridge. Every Sunday morning you throw away any left over shells and wash the dish, although usually the last bit went into the Sunday morning coffee that was consumed before church. The coffee was always a distinctive copper color, and my typical Swedish and Norwegian relatives would consume this by the pot…cup after cup…all day long.
@@angrytrees7519 I’m not sure as they both had great teeth. My grandma still developed osteoporosis, but then she was 89 when diagnosed, and lived to 92. In the olden days of Norway and Sweden, they would prepare coffee by boiling the grounds. When it was nearing done, they would then crack a few eggs and add it to the coffee, complete with shell. This supposedly reduced bitterness, and the egg would serve as a fining agent to bind all the coffee grounds and make them collect on the bottom and not end up in cups.
You can use candy melts instead of white chocolate, they're harder to burn and they actually garden when cooled without you needing to temper the chocolate

For the record, cleaning the egg shells with water and vinegar won't actually do much to get rid of the salmonella - what you want to do is heat them up past 65c (150f) and keep them there for a while (10 minutes should be good) either by baking them in the oven, or boiling them. A take on the champagne cone that might work would be coating champagne edge with chocolate and sprinkles for decor, pouring in coffee and putting ice cream or whip cream on top with waffle cone bits. It's a big staple of James Hoffman when he's doing "serious" tasting, but I think it would make a lot of sense for stuff like the egg shell taste test in this video.

The iced coffee large cup one sounds the same as a Frosty-ccino from Wendy's. They're good, but they're pretty much the same as a vanilla flavored iced coffee.
The egg one is interesting too; as egg shell is a good way to get more calcium in your diet, and could definitely be a choice for people trying to incorporate it through their coffee / daily drink.
I think the use of egg shells goes back many years to a time when basically there was only robusta coffee available and sometimes it was low grade. The egg shells could improve such coffee. Today's better quality coffee doesn't need the help of egg shells but, hey, if you like it then make it that way. To each (his or her) own.

Did the egg shells (but only lightly crush) but I used the immersion method to take away the acidic stale taste. It worked, and tastes OK to go with milk.
(1) coffee milkshakes (actually frappes, there) were a thing when I was in college in the Boston area, and I've made my own from scratch, not McDonalds, on occasion. (2) the first time I ever had iced coffee was when my high school German teacher served it, with a scoop of vanilla ice cream -- like a float, not stirred in.

Thank gosh for 15:25… I was beginning to worry we won’t see Morgan spills coffee today 🥴
Lol the milkshake with espresso is actually a common drink/dessert (?) in the south of Italy and it’s called crema cafe. They have special machines that mix it all day long. It’s the best thing in the world and that’s coming from someone who doesn’t normally like coffee.
I love chick fil a's frosted coffee, but I never thought about making it at McDonald's! Haha
I so love your reaction to the milshake.
I was not ready for that slurp
I'm so surprised you've never had a coffee shake before!! They're DELISH!!!
Did the egg shells (but only lightly crush) but I used the immersion method to take away the acidic stale taste. It worked, and tastes OK to go with milk.
yeah the past vid was funny, and this is just as creative ^_^ thank you!
I have always heard if you put salt in with your grounds it will make it less bitter.
"sometimes dairy is so good". Wiser words have never been spoken.
