Toronto's New Streetcars

This was the second day of revenue service for the TTC's new streetcars, built by Bombardier in Thunder Bay, Ontario. Air conditioned with picture windows, these cars gave a nice quiet ride and were as smooth as silk. The gentleman beside me said he rode the very first train when the subway opened in 1954. He had been riding for four hours and showed no indication of getting off. For all I know he's still riding.
